I am looking for folks with under cab lights to answer a fairly simple question for me.

The norm seems to be 30,60, or 144 led per meter.

What is enough ?? I was guessing that two one meter strips would be enough but?
Well better to ask than guess. Do you find 30 to be enough or 144 to be overly bright?

Also do you find box shape needed or u shape or just two straight strips?

    Thanks all

I use the 5050 60 LEDs per meter. I put one strip in a U shape on the bottom and another U shape on the back box. Looks great.

    50/50 yes without a doubt.

So would you say that you use full 5 meters on one game?

The outside strip of LEDS stay on all the time ..nice effect when the game is not being played. ...the inner ones are hooked up to the flashers

That is correct, I use the whole roll. I also install a relay to switch between an LED controller during attract mode and interactive during game play.

    Thanks for pics!

What do you have for power supply? 6,8,10amp?
Is it a brick/ laptop type or a screw terminal switcher?

Relays are great idea for interactive. I am going to do some custom program style rgb LEDs.

I use a 6 amp brick style plugged into the service outlet. The outlet was rewired to go on and off with the machines switch. Show us some pics when you are done.
