see https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/3d-printed-piano-mod-for-twilight-zone

We are now working on a silicone Trunk for the Theatre of Magic. The Picture is the first result of injection molding without coloring.

Follow our work on: https://www.facebook.com/pinballprops/

Will be ready soon. Curious if pinsiders want one of these when we are satisfied with the result and can make some more.

I bought them all at once about 4 years ago.... I had 6- but they do wear out and start to look pretty bad.

Joey has them for $30 bucks--

Looks nice, but the last guy that tried this and advertised it on pinside got shut down by the powers that be in a big hurry.

Anyway, good luck!

I have the strongest pants in the world, where are you pointing at? The copyright on the artwork?

Someone made replacement TOM magic trunks a while back that were made out of a sort of epoxy I think. They were harder and you needed to warm them up in the microwave to shape them if they were out of shape. Anyone remember these? I still have 2 new ones I never used, if anyone wants to buy them I'll sell them for $25 each.

#33 7 years ago

I'm in. Any idea on price?

#34 7 years ago

Hey Manic,
I know people and me are so done with those bad breakable one's. So what's your problem?
You're probably a seller selling them way to expensive......

lol ummm no I only have a couple backups in the closet. I was referring to what an earlier poster had mentioned. There's a certain someone who uses the phrase I mentioned and he's known for shutting down projects like these...sadly.

I thought you guys would recognize the quote and would know what I meant. Personally I think this project is a great idea.

#36 7 years ago

mine is missing chunks so I'm in.

i'm in for sure

If this new trunk is truly unbreakable you will sell a lot of these. Previous trunks, while more durable than the originals, have always broken for me over time.
Thanks for doing this project.

Added over 7 years ago: I will definitely buy one when they are ready for sale.

Count me in and I know 4 other local friends with a TOM that aren't on pinside would be in for one too.

Oh I do, I do recognize it.

#45 7 years ago

Very interested, keep me posted

#46 7 years ago

In interested too, I'm not replacing my trunk again until a proper solution is made.

Hasn't this idea bounced around a bit these last few years and never materialized? Let us know if it ever is for sale...

#47 7 years ago

Very intereested - please put me down for one.

#48 7 years ago

Sounds great to me. My current trunk broke after about 100 games.

#49 7 years ago

I would buy a couple if it is going to last. My last one took one game to break.

#50 7 years ago

In if they are truly unbreakable
