I'm doing a full teardown (will send playfield away for a new clearcoat) and while I have everything removed I want to clean the wire harness too. I've seen Vid1900 recommending to put it in the dishwasher but I'm honestly too scared to do that (and wife would most probably go bananas too).
I have a friend with an ultrasonic cleaner and I'm thinking of putting the harness into that, or at least parts of it. All cabling should be ok to wash in it right?
GI lamp sockets ok?
Would cherry switches take damage or ok too?
What about connectors going to the lamp boards?
Guess coil wrappings will fall of so no coils in the bath then?
Any "absolutely do not ultrasonic clean part x"?
Can I damage stuff if the cleaner is running too hot or is it not possible with a normal consumer ultrasonic cleaner?
Any liquids to avoid for wiring harness and its components?
Do I let it all air dry afterwards or any other way?
Thanks for any input.
