Not sure if this has already been covered... One thing people should be aware of is larger units take longer to heat up and use a lot more energy. It's okay if you're doing a lot of stuff and have big batches but if you only have a few items, not very efficient. I have a 6 liter unit and wait about 20 minutes for it to reach optimum temperature. Sure a larger size can fit bigger parts, but that's the trade off. Food for thought.

    Quoted from j_m_:

I dunno, your first two before-after photos make it appear that your ultrasonic actually adds years worth of dirt and grime to the parts

Yeah, but I like his musical selections! Great background music while the machine hums along!

    Quoted from Murphdom:

I just bought this one. It came in the mail today. I will have to experiment with some stuff and report back. You won’t beat the price on this one for the size of it.

I mentioned this a few pages ago but will bring it up again. I own a 6L unit and it takes about a half hour to heat up to 35c. Also, how much power are you using or do you care? Let us know how long it takes to get a 22 L unit up to Temp. I'm sure the bigger units have more heating elements. 1000 Watts it's quite a bit of power.

One thing that I see rarely mentioned in this thread. The larger you go, the more power it takes and the longer it takes to heat up in my experience. If you are only using it a few times a year, a moot point, but if you are on a budget, or do many batches might be a consideration. I wish I sometimes had a larger unit, but 95% of the time my 6L unit works fine. They also have a limited life expectancy. Something else to factor if you are on a budget.
