I'd like to ask my wife for an ultrasonic cleaner between $150-200 for Christmas. In this price range I see some 3 liter models. Are there any brands I should trust or avoid?

Kendal seems like a cheap alternative to Branson.
I like the 6L tank, 11.8" (L) x 6.1" (W) x 6.0" (H):
The 3L version is $100 cheaper, but the tank is 9.5" (L) x 5.5" (W) x 4.0" (H), and the motors and heater aren't as powerful. It's also missing the drainage valve, which seems like a big deal:
go bigger and be happy you did.
I started with the small harbor freight one and it works great but I am now saving for one of the big boys.
You can also search clist for used industrial sized ones used in labs and possibly find a huge one for a good deal.
I know Branson has better quality, but their 6L unit is $712, vs. $269 for the 6L Kendal - more than twice as much. Maybe it just looks nicer in dentists' offices.
