I wouldn't pay 8 bucks for a gallon of gas either Comparing British currency/value on stuff compared to America has always been messed up. I've travelled to Britain dozens of times because my Mum is from there. Even the simplest things like bread milk and gas have always seemed crazy when you convert pounds to dollars.

If you're looking to buy in the UK try to avoid Pinball Paradise based in Blackpool.
Try the UK based Pinballinfo forum and the yahoo pages.

Avoid Craig's List in the UK, not worth the time.
You can also try eBay UK and gumtree, but there be dragons...
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:You have some crazy low craigslist prices though...
Are those scams?
I lived in the UK for several years and found that big, used discretionary stuff can be cheap. Most people do not have space in their homes for big toys and the overall standard of living is lower. Salaries are much lower than the US and basic things like food, gas and housing are a lot higher. You can buy used fruit machines and slots for one or two hundred pounds. I brought a few with me back to the States. The supply of good, used pins is probably drying up though helping to keep prices higher.
I’m seriously betting the op “nixyknight1” is the formally banned Pinball Parasite (er Paradise) from the UK. Just the broken obnoxious way he speaks screams this turd. He has been banned twice before (one time I was quite happy to assist Robin in doing as well) and I’m guessing it’s him again.
Potential bargain depends on how it goes...for someone in the UK looking for a project

Free healthcare in the UK has to be subsidized somehow....hence crazy prices on goods us Americans consider reasonable or inexpensive on a day to day basis.
