Can a bad sound board effect my display?
In short: YES.
In long: the CPU, Fliptronic, Sound and Display board all share a 34-pin ribbon cable. That cable carries logic signals. If, for example, one of the data or address bits are held low or high (by a faulty IC) then the bus no longer carries the signals required by the software to function correctly.
Quoted from LitzDoc:What should I check next?
The IJ sound board (DCS) is different from the TZ sound board (pre-DCS).
