Quoted from jgelman:I am interested in a TZ. I saw that in 2021 so far, there were 37 listings in the archived classifieds.
19 sold on Pinside, but the amount was "private"
9 sold off Pinside, and the amount was "private"
9 did not sell (assuming that is true).
2 sold on Pinside, and the sale price was disclosed
In only 2 of the 39 listings was the sale price mentioned. Why is that? How is someone like me, someone interested in buying a TZ, to get an understanding of the market, when only 2 of the 30 people who admitted they sold their TZ (7%) disclosed the sale price to benefit others.
Why would people so often not want to say the price? It seems like keeping this private is a disservice to forum members. Can someone explain to me what is the big deal of saying the sale price? Maybe I am missing something.
Thanks.
Sort of how it goes around here for a variety of reasons. Many games are sold "offline" or pulled down to not pay the fees (kind of sad). I've bought several off here over the years, and generally they always sell for less than the posted price, if that is of any help.....
