Recently bought a TZ and every now and then it thinks the power ball is in play but it is a silver ball. Any reason it would do that?
Thanks!

There are two sensors for the powerball. One for the trough and one in the subway ramp. They actually sense a lack of a powerball. In that the sensor detects the metal ball and when the ball hits the next switch after the sensor it knows it’s not a powerball. If the switch after a sensor triggers and no steel ball has been sensed, the game knows it’s a powerball. So seems like one of the sensors it not detecting the steel ball. First thing you can try is reseating the connectors to or from the sensors. I think each sensor has a small board with connectors. Or it might be a bad sensor and I’m sure you can find a new part. Or it could be more complicated such as a wiring problem elsewhere or a board problem.

Thanks! I will check them out.

Also make sure that the following setting:

A.2 26 No Powerball

..is set to NO (factory default). If it's set to YES the game will simulate a Powerball with every 2nd ball dispensed from the gumball machine (whether its metal or not)
