Hey all,

So, I recall when Mirco released his TZ playfields a while back, people mentioned that they were pinkish instead of red. I'm on vacation, and wouldn't you know I finally ran across one with the pink playfield. You see something new every day...

That twilight horizon area is often pink insn't it? it looks like the car in the town square is red, and therefore the Santa Clause in town square, and skill shot stripe in the shooter lane should be red too. I thought Mirco's pink playfields had a pink car and Santa Clause in town square, and a pink skill shot stripe in the shooter lane.

Maybe I'm mistaken.

My horizon is pink. Playfield was inked by Sun Process. I like the pink much better than the red.

*edit* Are you kidding me? Did Mirco screw up yet another playfield?

I can tell you that mine is pink as well. I thought that was normal, that is if your referring to that area above the flippers.

Hey,

Reasonably sure the one I have at home is red. I'll double check that...

My installed original TZ playfield is pinkish, and the used original playfield I just got clearcoated is dark red. I think I prefer the red, but I might change my mind if I saw one installed.

Edit: My original playfield also has a green lock (but no third magnet hole) - I hope some day to get it professionally touched up and restored!

since I restore playfields, I see lots of variations in TZ's. Some are due to fade, some are printed that way. I've seen at least 4 versions of that red. Some are red red, some are orangish red, some are pink. and some are just faded versions of the others. I've restored at least 20 TZ playfields in my time, so i've seen them all. Sample fields (pop posts and 3rd magnet) , Early production (with post plugs), and full later revised production versions.
