The mini playfield magnets are no longer activating when battle the power mode is active.

I have tested all of the switches (opto - opens diverter, switch entering top of mini play field, optos for exiting top and bottom on mini playfield. I have also tested the magnets in solenoid and magnet test sections. All are working properly. I reseated all of the plugs, switched the data cable between CPU and Driver board, reseated data cable between CPU and Fliptronics board.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Do the switches on the mini-pf score as they should, during battle the power?

If everything is working, including both optos on flipper button opto boards.

This is where I'd try a factory reset to clear garbage out of memory.

The entrance switch does score but the mini playfield switches do not.

I just put in a Rottendog A-16100 8 PCB driver board before this started happening, so I took it out and put the old board back in. Guess what now the mini playfield is working right. Even more strange is that the flasher that was stuck (why I replaced the board) is working properly too. Going to put the new one back in to see what happens,

I put the Rottendog board back in and the problem came back.

Ok, so put the original board back in, and reverse the ribbon cable to that aux-8 board at both ends.

If the problem goes away and stays away, replace the cable.

Note : the WMS aux-8 boards have to be jumpered specifically for the application it's used for ... the #7 and #8 drivers can be set for "low" power, like driving switch matrix switches, or "high" power, for driving coils.

TZ uses one driver for switches (column 9 for the clock), and two for the motor drive controls for the clock.

The remaining five drivers are for flashlamps.

This is an old post but my TZ has this same problem. Was it ever solved?

First thing is go into Tests - Switch Edge - and see if the switch top left of mini playfield where balls enter, works.

It was the switch after all. Cheers
