The lower rt flipper is weak. The left flipper is fine. I have swapped out coils same result. I have rebuilt that flipper and same result. The end of stroke switch works in test.

What do I check now? Could it be a board problem?

Thanks ltg! How does that cause weak flippers?

The dirty (or failing) optos don't see a "clean" open/closed signal and the fliptronics board gets confused and rapidly pulses the coil on and off, giving a weak flip.

You can test for this by cleaning the U-shaped optos thoroughly and by swapping the boards from one side to the other.

OK cleaned it and it started working worse. Swapped sides and the problem followed the board. Just ordered new updated style board from great lakes modular. Very fast service. Thanks guys

Keep the old board, in case you need a spare. You can simply change the affected opto ,and it'll be all set.

Look at the back of your board at the solder points to see if you need a 4 or 5.

The fact that it's worse points to that board being a significant, if not 100%, of the issue. Did you try swapping it?
