Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:Did I say that I adjusted the target with the power on?
I did not.
I believe I wrote that I booted the game after making the adjustment, indicating that the game was off.
I am confused I guess. How is a short created when power is off?
I admit to having raised the playfield to quickly make an observation or adjustment. A few times I’ve accidentally left balls installed and/or power on. I try to slow down and not do this as more than once it’s ended badly. I will sometimes power back up after raising the playfield.
The flipper buttons are just so close to the plunger coil in most pins.
On my Data East pin if what you described happened I would suspect a blown transistor.
