Are there any balls up in the lock trough still? They might not be kicking out after the end of a game.
Can you do a switch edge test and test the trough rollovers? There should be three of them in there.

Can you do a switch edge test and test the trough rollovers? There should be three of them in there.
There should be two visible in the gumball machine(because the third is in the base of it, ready to be dispensed) and three in the main trough, totaling 6, five steel and one ceramic.
There are ways in the test menus to empty the gumball machine and you can just pop out the ones in the trough yourself. I say empty the machine manually and manually feed the balls in yourself to let it reload itself. It might just show you where it's not sensing the balls.
