One thing I have noticed on my TZ is the ball tends to hit the diverter (the one that selects the regular shooter rod or the auto launch lane) when using the ball save or the load the gumball function. Basically the diverter doesn't get out of the way quick enough and the launcher propels the ball right into it. Anyone else seen this?

Would a new solenoid correct this?

You might just have to adjust the diverter slightly or check the
coil sleeve

To add to Mikes suggestion check to see if the pivot points are gummed up. Check that the little spring that pulls the armature plate in is still on there and, lastly, make sure the set screws on the collar haven't loosened allowing the arm to swivel on the shaft.

Thanks guys for the tips. Ended up just needing to tighten that spring up a smidge and it's good as new.
