I say just let them sit on it and tie up their floorspace. There are plenty of decent TZ's available. If the op is still looking we will find you one. Were good at that.
These guys will be sitting on this for a while longer, unless they find someone willing to be gouged. I know for a FACT they have $3500 in it. I offered them $4000 when they first got it for a $500 profit and they had to do nothing. Obviously, they passed. I'm kinda glad they didn't accept my offer, as I would have had to pay an additional $400 sales tax.

Yeah, im pretty sure they are waiting for someone who doesn't know better to buy it. My 3k offer was taking taxes and fix up/maintanence/time into account, so maybe 3500. Can't comfortably afford. If the guy wasnt such a bag of dicks, id offer to throw them a few bucks to let me play it for an hour.
I used to know a pawn shop owner and he told me that they would pay less to someone selling something than to someone who wanted a loan because the potential interest (i.e., profit) was based on the loan value. They thrive on the repeat loan customers versus the purchase and resale side. He relayed a story about one lady who would pawn her hubby's hunting rifle every year in January and then get it back in the fall for hunting season...he made more off of that rifle than the value of the rifle itself.
