I have a kit waiting for an install on a Twilight Zone I am restoring. The machine has in pieces for a few years now. So many other things to do. I have a Mirco 3rd magnet playfield. My intention is to build it and share it at the local pinball show for one year only (so people can play the three magnet version).
After reading through that article it all makes sense. You will need the hardware mentioned in this thread by everybody who's been very helpful. I know the kit has the parts for the high power driver board.
The biggest problem I see is that if you don't have the electrical or wiring knowledge then wiring in switch #82 will be the biggest issue. If you have the GLM OSB-10B board that will solve your problem. It provides the support for switch #82. Otherwise you'll have to do some interesting wiring because the original 10-opto board in the machine has all 10 optos in use (even though there is actual switch matrix harness connections that could sense up to 14 switches (7 rows in 2 columns). The 3x LM339s have all 4 units in use so there's no spare. That's why the article wires up that extra board with the LM339 on it.
Unfortunately GLM is no longer in business even though his website is still active.

I may eventually reproduce this board but it's low on my reproduction priority. It's only used by Twilight Zone.
