a twilight zone with a problem.. need some crowd brain support.

What is happening, Opto board 12v is unstable enough to "reset the optos" or tickle them into faulty behavior.. only in game will this happen random. all optos flicker causign random game behavor.

what I have done.
checked line voltage.. have 12 other WPC games on the circut with no issues
changed the driver board with a known good.
changed the opto board with a new one (after market)
removed all mods off 12v line.
cleaned all the AC power pins (not repinned) checked the transformer molex cleaned them up. (not repinned)

did you unplug all the optos and then plug them in to test if it's still there. might have a bad one bringing the line voltage down.

Do the prox sensors run on the 12 volts too? Been awhile since I worked with the TZ stuff. Mine hasn't had problems in years once it was bulletproofed.

btw, when plugging optos back in, you have to have the game off. then turn it on, test and so on.

Is it every opto in the system? Or maybe just every one on a single row or col?

that's a good thing to try good thinking.. as well as the eddy.. dont know if they are 12v (off the top of my head) but gonna pull them as well. worth a shot.

I can watch the opto board physically "reboot" so at this time I "believe" its just related to 12v stability. also using the after market thing that did away with the 339 chips

yea this one I cant get over the bulletproof hill yet, stuck on this damn issue haven't found the source of the problem yet.
