Quoted from way2wyrd:

TPF grand prize best of show.

I was hoping for that. That has got to be the most beautiful pin on the planet.

Quoted from way2wyrd:

My award winner pales in comparison but just as a point of documentation and reference. 2nd place in the Antique pinball category

I love it, what is it?

What's the deal Labnip, no pictures from Karaoke? Then again, it's probably best.

#306 5 years ago

In all seriousness, thanks for posting all the pictures you took. It will be a good record of memories in years to come.

Scary-oke!

Grand prize winner was a sonic super straight. Man the amount of work and love put into that machine is unfathomable.

Q-Berts Quest backglass. It was nice of John to sign the glass for the draw. I donated 3 backglass to the show this year, Star Gazer, & CPR Silverball Mania were the others.

Man, this looks like a total blast.
And you lucky bastards have a ton of these shows each year!!
If I win lotto I'm just going to cruise from show to show to show...
Thanx heaps @labnip for the blow by blow description and photos, a great read

Quoted from Erik:

Also wow that's a big sub on the p3!

yeah, that P3 is an audio beast. try playing it over at Gerry's house. WOW, shakes the foundation

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

How's that AFM remake everybody swore would be at the show?

no AFM remake at show this year... but... the TFP 2015 "logo" is very AFM looking

Quoted from RyanClaytor:

Uhm...is that terminator made with real human teeth?

yeah... i should have gotten a super close-up of just the teeth. that'd be a great creepy pic

#316 5 years ago
Quoted from RyanClaytor:

Any more custom pins than Goonies and Spinal Tap? If so, would love to see more. (Also would love to see more close-ups of Goonies and get some word on the P3 front).

i went around and tried to take pics of anything custom.
will try to pull them together and post.

cheers

Question; is that AMH pin with yellow armor upgraded? It looks awesome, and I haven't seen any others pictured like that.

i took a bunch more pix of it for ya. will try and get posted.

You are the man, and thanks for posting all these pics for those of us unable to attend. I spent an embarrassing amount of my weekend pouring over your updates. On the bright side, it looks like the wife might be warming up to a Texas trip sometime in the future.

just a shout out to all the great folks who would text me when TOM needed any service.

that helped me learn about the lower power in the building and also when the trapdoor stopped popping up. A grommet had come out of the trapdoor kickout (between the solenoid & it's metal housing). When the grommet is gone, the solenoid magnetizes itself to the housing and doesn't release/fire. Had the exact same problem last year with TAF swamp kickout. Turns out, a trimmed tie-wrap is a better solution than a grommet that can dry, crumble & fall out (after 20 years... hehehehe).

thanks to btw75 for helping dig-into and find that problem last year on TAF!

btw75 and way2wyrd fixed my machine, too. We can be buddies, labnip!

we gotta keep those dudes close

btw75 also helped me get my game on the floor, and was nice enough to help me (OK he did it all for me) drill out my door lock and replace it, since I forgot to bring the key with me! A very good dude indeed. Thanks again!

don't even get me started

he helps me move that TOM downstairs & into trailer, drives it to TFP with the other pins from Austin, and when i get there, it's already setup !

Ed should have given him a "superman" award.

#325 5 years ago

Thanks guys. I had lots of help - besides you guys helping I should also shout out to 85vett who came over to help load the games into the trailer and came over last night to unload - and he didn't even have a game going!!

I'm really digging the yellow armor on AMH... someone please tell me, what does it cost "if" I can have mine done that way when shipped in about 2 months.

Inquiry minds want to know.

That thing was pretty, but that X-Men LE sitting next to it was stunning. Marty has such beautiful games.

Try asking the folks at Pinball Side Mirrors; it was in their booth. I agree that it looked great. Please post here if you find out.

#332 5 years ago

Thanks for any help / update.

I'm in Calif and didn't make the PTF. I'm glad I got in on AMH 3 months ago (#38)!

I do not know what it would cost. I have another company and we have a powder coating booth and ovens. I know there are guys out there that do it. Surely you can find someone local and save shipping. However, that being said not all powder guys are all that so check out their work.

At least one of the virtual pins I saw (not in the main VP cabs tent) was running new stern games like Metallica. That was a surprise.
