Cheers, and a shout out to John for the notification about the add

Congrats FTN_Ferry! Your new TX looks really good from the photos! It almost makes me wish I had purchased it! And the LED tubes work really well, thanks again for that tip.

And hopefully now you can use the TX soundboard to help you troubleshoot the RW sound issue you are having. When I rebuilt my Haunted House, having a Black Hole down in the arcade really helped out.

All the best!

Just picked this beautiful example up! Anyone else have a fusions on theirs? I’d be curious to know how you have them laid out. Best music of the 80’s no doubt!

Could anyone help me with the part numbers for the slingshot and drop target reset plungers ?
Manual lists only assemblies MA-135 and MA-1047 and I have been unable to pin them down on any of the usual sites.

Thanks, that is of course an option, but I would prefer to buy the few plungers I need in Europe so they don't become riduculously expensive due to shipping, taxes etc. and I don't think it would be good style to ask them and then buy elsewhere.

So if anyone would happen to know the numbers I would appreciate it

For reference : drop target plunger seems to be part number 25607 and A-272 seems to be the plunger (without link) for the slingshots.

Pinball resource indicates the right EOS switch is double : http://www.pbresource.com/KT-GFLIPSYS80B.html#txsector
But I can't seem to find any relevant switch in the switch matrix - or am I blind ?

Does anyone know where I could find an apron, or does anyone have an extra? Slim chance I know. Mine is the same at the original, but the white ink is yellow. Drives me nuts.

42 metal ball guides pulled out, washed, tumbled and hammered back into place.
Now for the rest ...

Best of Pinball in Germany sells apron decals. You can check to see if they have the one that you need and let the group know.

Does anyone know who the composer(s) was/were for the amazing music and sfx on this pin ?
Would have been fun to be able to check out other pins from the same person.

Can someone explain with a graphic on how the "transporting" of the ball is accomplished.

What tricks did Trudeau pull off to get that to work.

#376 1 year ago
Quoted from Bmad21:

There is always a ball captured in one of the "teleports", hidden from view. Depending on where the the ball is captured, the opposite teleport will be lit. When you shoot the lit teleport, it will release the ball from the other teleport to achieve the desired teleporting effect. Now things are switched around and the other teleport will be lit.

Each teleport has two ball capture holes with a switch and release mechanism in it. One to "detect" a ball being shot into the teleport, and another one to capture the ball. When you shoot a ball into the unlit teleport (the one that is currently holding the ball), it will simply release the locked ball and re-lock the ball that you just shot in there.

Hey guys I just joined the club. The TX is going to look really nice next to my Robo-War. Its not perfect but it does boot and light up. I am in need of a speaker panel with displays and a translight in the backbox though. Anyone have a lead on one.

PBR might have the speaker panel and displays. Mayfair Amusements may have a nos translite.

#381 1 year ago

Well I just got off the phone with PBR and they no longer have speaker panels. They also dont have any 27" legs, he is having a had time getting them made. I did however get a new shooter rod assembly. So thats a plus. So the search continues for a Backbox speaker panel with or without the displays. I would be ok with a file to print my own also if anyone has that.

Has anyone done a mod of the lights of the teleport ramp to a 47 LED or something like that?

With a graphic??

There’s a Star Trek style transporter that uses quantum physics to break the ball down and reconstructs it in a new location

Dang , good luck! Those are usually the hardest things to locate

I am mainly needing the Edge Connector, 0.156" Plug, 19 Pin Single sided edge type connector
Rib between pins 4 and 5, pins 7 and 8, pins 11 and 12 & pins 15 and 16. This is for the display.

Im ok with running new wires and adding new connectors to the other ends but really need the 19 pin edge connector.

Good evening guys! We are joining the club on a serious note. We have managed to score both a Robowar and TX Sector in the last couple months. I’ll post a pic once we get them.

Does anyone have a guide to turn off the lamp in the backbox when the game is being played?

My tx sector has the original lamp
My robowar has a custom led panel

The Playfields can’t be seen well in a dark room with the backbox glaring on to the playfield glass

#393 9 months ago

I have an extra translite for TX Sector. Really good shape. Drop me a line if you need one.

I believe it's hard-wired through the transformer block up to the starter and bulb. You'd have to install a relay or mosfet which takes input from somewhere when the game starts and interrupt the power to the lamp. Some digging in the wiring diagram and you could maybe find a point on the sound board that goes "high" during a game and use that.

Hmmm, now you have me thinking mine are wrong too. Maybe your TX legs belong to a System 80 game. My Haunted House needs wooden blocks in the back as the legs are too short....so maybe there's a solution here??

Yes there is: Haunted House needs 31" legs in the back and 27" in front.
