Welcome to the club of all things TX Sector. Here you can post photos of your restored/modded out TX, tell the world of secrets you know about this game and/or Premier Pinball, tell us about your one-night-stand with game designer John Trudeau, whatever. I'll try and post as much info here about the game as I know, plus where to find replacement parts, but feel free to add your own!

    STATS:

Year Made: 1988
Model Number: 712
MPU: Gottlieb System 80B
Production: 2,336 units (confirmed)
Design by: John Trudeau
Art by: Constantino Mitchell, Jeanine Mitchell (excellent work BTW)
Software by: John Buras
Music and Sound by: ??? (this is a crime that we don't know who this is)

    WEBSITES:

Parts: Marco Spec has many parts for the game, including (as of this writing) one of the ramps. Ks Arcade has many of the boards for sale. BAA only has a Ni-Wiumf driver board. Plastics and playfields can be hard to find (nobody repros them), while translites are relatively easy to find. There is also an alt translite for the game but c'mon! Why???

    WHITEWOOD PICS:

There were 3 different playfields utilized during the TX Sector run:
1) A Vitrigraph laminated playfield, such as the one in the flyer. Of the three versions, the trapezoids here are the lightest in color. The word "Vitrigraph" appears near the outhole
2) A silkscreened playfield with lighter trapezoids
3) A silkscreened playfield with darker trapezoids

From designer John Trudeau: "I am not sure, but I believe Premier cut off the 'Vitrigraph' process in the middle of the production run due to problems in the field. I think the stoppage was done in either TX Sector or Diamond Lady. I can't remember which. That would explain the differences in the colors, I believe. Other than that, I am not aware of any production color changes that were made. There may have been a hiccup in the production of the silkscreened playfields. I am sure there was never a conscious effort to change the art once it was in production (that would only have incurred more cost). There could have been a screen that needed to be repaired at some point in production. And, I don't think there were any actual changes in the vendors doing the screening."
