It was implemented in games with version -35 system U6 ROM and higher starting with Harlem Globe Trotters.
Version -30 U6 system ROM and lower don't have it (ending with Paragon).
Version -35 system U6 ROM also implemented the countdown option when setting score level threshold awards. While holding the start button, tap the self test button and scores will start counting down instead of up.
