I'm working on a Twobits -35 mpu board. It's designed for something different than the standard Bally push button. Does someone sell one that fits on this board or should I just leave it vacant. Thanks

The Two bits boards just uses a different type of push button at S33. Can be seen here.

GPE sells a replacement switch as per the original Bally switch, not sure if these line up with the holes on the Two bits board. Without any switch at S33 you can't clear bookkeeping memory as far as I know (besides removing the 5101 or power to it)

I just measured my Two bits board hole spacing which has a switch installed (same style switch as in the pic of the Two bits MPU)
6mm high (pin to pin)
12.5mm wide (pin to pin)

A two pin 6x5x5mm tactile button switch that has a lead pitch of 5mm work. just put it across the left two holes as shown in the picture.

The switch @ https://www.taydaelectronics.com/electromechanical/switches-key-pad/tact-switch/tact-switch-12-12mm-7-3mm-through-hole-spst-no-4-pins.html has a datasheet specifying 5mm by 12.5mm.

On most -35 games you can use one of the coin switches (dont remember which one) instead of S33.

Had never heard of that, nice one! Tried a few Bally games, worked on 80s onward games, (was the coin switch closest to the lock) didn't appear to have this option on earler games I tried.

It was implemented in games with version -35 system U6 ROM and higher starting with Harlem Globe Trotters.
Version -30 U6 system ROM and lower don't have it (ending with Paragon).
Version -35 system U6 ROM also implemented the countdown option when setting score level threshold awards. While holding the start button, tap the self test button and scores will start counting down instead of up.

E-Switch is a good manufacturer, stick with their TL1100AF160Q and maybe a key cover such as 6JBLK.

Also...I thought the button caps would slide right on, but they didn't. Had to file all four sides of the tab a little bit so the cap would slide on and grasp. Also added a little gorilla glue under the cap with a toothpick to make it more solid. Straightened out the legs with needle nose pliers to make it slide in the holes better.
