Wow! Spectacular work!
Nice to see you did it for the love of the game/project, and not to make a profit.
Kudo's to you if you donate the original for charity!

Nice work, I would rather have one of those than a used original or the new remakes. Not to be a downer, but just wondering if the announcement of the remakes took a little bit of the wind out of your sails? I say the more of these that are out there the better.
WOW... those are beautiful! Nicely done.
Question; did you do anything different / better than the factory? "If" you were to do it again, would you do anything different?
Kerry
Quoted from chessiv:Of course he's a new member. He didn't glue a bunch of worthless shit on his machines.
LOL!
Quoted from Snowman:Hello again,
I didn't see anybody else ask.
Can I come over and play a game on one of them ?
LTG : )
So, who are you, where are you located in Minnesota, and do you want a 6 pack of your favorite beer anytime soon?
Just amazing. I like the post too. Very good of you to call out those whose parts, labor, and support helped make this possible.
Who is that masked man? You bring a new level of excellence to the community and I welcome you. I now you and your family will thoroughly enjoy playing them for years to come.
Quoted from Snowman:The 3rd & original game I am seriously thinking of donating to a local charity to use in a raffle and raise funds for a good cause.
The third original game would you consider donating to MS (MySelf) In all seriousness GREAT work and thanks for sharing!
AWESOME JOB!!!
I just want to know what you do for your regular 9-5. You must have wuite the skillset adn WOW to that shop!!!
Awesome job - just goes to show that anything can be done by anyone willing to put the time into a project - of course any extra help is always appreciated.
BTW - nice thought about donating the OEM to a charity.
Who's playfields did you use. As far as the parts (ball guides) you needed to manufacture yourself that were not anywhere to be found, have you thought about manufacturing and selling to others. Great job by the way. I like pinball, but to be honest I'm more envious of your shop.
Quoted from BrianZ:Did we get an idea of what it cost $ wise to build one this way?
Who cares. It's a LABOUR of LOVE!
i heard the snowman won a major award!
Quoted from thedarkknight77:This guy is a winner!! What a great attitude! Thanks for sharing!
Why is that important? Does it matter if it cost 8k,10k,12k? I'd rather not know and just enjoy this incredible build and the mad skills that it took to get here.

I remember hearing about this a while back. No idea it was being done in MN. Care to make a few WOOLYs too? Heh
Your move, Wisconsin......
Quoted from Nilroc:Who cares. It's a LABOUR of LOVE!
I am curious too, if he wants to share.
I am guessing it is ~ the cost of the price of a new MM per game based upon past estimates.
A very impressive accomplishment. The only question I have in my mind is if this CAN be done by a motivated, well organized individual in only 2.5 months, was anybody out there pumping these out at a rate of 6-8+ per year and selling them as HOU restored examples?
Is this happening for other games?
It will be interesting times, I wonder if fully restored games will need photo documentation of the donor and restoration process to avoid questions upon future resale...

No, These games are nice but they are a repop, and differ in many areas over a original factory built Williams game !

Have you seen these games? If so, how do they differ from the likes of a professionally restored original where someone bought a new cab, decaled it, and used a new mirco pf and all new parts? Aside from the harnesses and ball guides these games would look better than new to the vast majority of pinheads. Harnesses and ball guides are not very indentifiable as different by most people.
These look awesome!
I figure it's like hot rods. A perfect all new numbers matching machine is worth more to some people then a restored or remade machine. However, to the vast majority having a pristine example of a classic is all they care about whether the parts had to be fabricated, purchased new or salvaged from dead machines (cars or pinballs).
Simply amazing you could do it so quick and are so well organized. My mind works more chaotic and I'm pretty sure I could mess up that shop in a couple days
Greg
Quoted from Aurich:The only part about all this I don't believe is that anyone's workspace is actually that clean and organized.
I agree! I think he spent DAYS cleaning up just for the pix!
