Wow! Spectacular work!

Nice to see you did it for the love of the game/project, and not to make a profit.

Kudo's to you if you donate the original for charity!

#102 10 years ago

That really is an outstanding job !

#103 10 years ago

I just can't say anything else but a WOW, MAJOR props to you!!!.....mark

#104 10 years ago

Nice work, I would rather have one of those than a used original or the new remakes. Not to be a downer, but just wondering if the announcement of the remakes took a little bit of the wind out of your sails? I say the more of these that are out there the better.

#105 10 years ago

WOW... those are beautiful! Nicely done.

Question; did you do anything different / better than the factory? "If" you were to do it again, would you do anything different?

Of course he's a new member. He didn't glue a bunch of worthless shit on his machines.

LOL!

#108 10 years ago

I didn't see anybody else ask.

Can I come over and play a game on one of them ?

#109 10 years ago

I'm not surprised at all, what else is there to do in Minnesota anyways?

#110 10 years ago

So, who are you, where are you located in Minnesota, and do you want a 6 pack of your favorite beer anytime soon?

The 3rd & original game I am seriously thinking of donating to a local charity to use in a raffle and raise funds for a good cause.

The third original game would you consider donating to MS (MySelf) In all seriousness GREAT work and thanks for sharing!

#126 10 years ago

AWESOME JOB!!!

I just want to know what you do for your regular 9-5. You must have wuite the skillset adn WOW to that shop!!!

#127 10 years ago

Wow, nice work. This is such a big task!

Congrats

#128 10 years ago

Awesome job - just goes to show that anything can be done by anyone willing to put the time into a project - of course any extra help is always appreciated.

BTW - nice thought about donating the OEM to a charity.

#129 10 years ago

Very impressive job! Now, could you build me a Capcom King Pin?

#130 10 years ago

My jaw is on the floor.... What an amazing accomplishment!
You have mad skills dude!!

#131 10 years ago

Who's playfields did you use. As far as the parts (ball guides) you needed to manufacture yourself that were not anywhere to be found, have you thought about manufacturing and selling to others. Great job by the way. I like pinball, but to be honest I'm more envious of your shop.

#132 10 years ago

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Amazing!

#133 10 years ago

Something to be very very proud of my friend!
Incredible work!

#134 10 years ago

Did we get an idea of what it cost $ wise to build one this way?

Why is that important? Does it matter if it cost 8k,10k,12k? I'd rather not know and just enjoy this incredible build and the mad skills that it took to get here.

I remember hearing about this a while back. No idea it was being done in MN. Care to make a few WOOLYs too? Heh

Your move, Wisconsin......

#139 10 years ago

Please let me know if you're willing to adopt any more family members.

I am curious too, if he wants to share.

I am guessing it is ~ the cost of the price of a new MM per game based upon past estimates.

A very impressive accomplishment. The only question I have in my mind is if this CAN be done by a motivated, well organized individual in only 2.5 months, was anybody out there pumping these out at a rate of 6-8+ per year and selling them as HOU restored examples?

Is this happening for other games?

It will be interesting times, I wonder if fully restored games will need photo documentation of the donor and restoration process to avoid questions upon future resale...

#141 10 years ago

I'm sure Roger Sharpe would love to play your games!

#142 10 years ago

I'm simply blown away. Great job and thanks for sharing, OP!

#143 10 years ago

Screw you for making my MM worth less money now that there's two more of them. You don't care about this hobby! That does it, I'm quitting the hobby.

I'm totally kidding. That is really impressive work!!

No, These games are nice but they are a repop, and differ in many areas over a original factory built Williams game !

#145 10 years ago

Great work indeed.

Have you seen these games? If so, how do they differ from the likes of a professionally restored original where someone bought a new cab, decaled it, and used a new mirco pf and all new parts? Aside from the harnesses and ball guides these games would look better than new to the vast majority of pinheads. Harnesses and ball guides are not very indentifiable as different by most people.

#147 10 years ago

These look awesome!

I figure it's like hot rods. A perfect all new numbers matching machine is worth more to some people then a restored or remade machine. However, to the vast majority having a pristine example of a classic is all they care about whether the parts had to be fabricated, purchased new or salvaged from dead machines (cars or pinballs).

Simply amazing you could do it so quick and are so well organized. My mind works more chaotic and I'm pretty sure I could mess up that shop in a couple days

I can see a slight difference in the cabinet artwork but still amazing work and welcome.

#149 10 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

The only part about all this I don't believe is that anyone's workspace is actually that clean and organized.

I agree! I think he spent DAYS cleaning up just for the pix!
