I learned last night talking to my son that he has joined Pinside. He revealed that he had exchanged thoughts with me on a recent thread. I remember seeing his username and his avatar, and I just figured it was a coincidence.

    Been smiling broadly ever since.

    Thanks Pinside.

I briefly named the whole family after the solicitor's call: Wizzo, Wizness, Wizzer, Wizzette (me, wife, son, daughter.)

I'll let him remain anonymous. He'll be better received that way I am sure!

It made finding out more fun.

It's not. There was a thread a while back about wizman between NimblePin and me and others educating me on the finer points of Pinside history.

Hey, Doc. Your Creature should get here tomorrow between 9 and 3.

My son joined last July. I found out by searching for Pinsiders near me. I thought it was wierd to find a person in my neighborhood with all the same pins in their collection as me. He does not post, just searches and studies. He has been viewing as me because I never log off.

He turns 14 on the 13th, hoping to get him a machine for his B-day.

You're not trying for a surprise, I hope.

That would be great! What a memory for him! Would you get him a fixer upper for him to learn on?
