    Are batteries or NVRAM installed?

When you make the change, do you confirm or cancel it?

Not sure if the option would be in the settings if you have a home ROM, but check the version. If it has a home ROM, free play is all there is. Otherwise as above from Forceflow.

If you have the 9.4H ROMs installed it's free play only. You'll have to swap in standard ROMs.

If you have 9.4H, it will say "FREE ONLY" on dmd instead of "FREE PLAY". I think 9.2 was the latest rom for coin op.

Yes. If on a home ROM, you're sick on free play.

However, in 9.4H, you can turn the 'Free only' message off in adjustments, and it will keep track of credits. (It will just let you start a game with 0 credits..)
