You

Linked Games

I've got a friend that knows an owner of an amusement business that is unloading both of these games for around $1500. I can only afford one of them. Both machines have their positives and both have their negatives. I've never played either one and won't have a chance to play these until next week. From all the photos, both machines are very clean and in working order. Lastly, I currently own 1 pinball machine and that is Grand Lizard. Before Grand Lizard I owned Harlem Globetrotters back in the 80s. So my question to all of you, which one of these games would you buy to add to your collection of one?

I've had very limited time on Twister and am not a fan of the art at all. But, it's a dmd and could be fun.

On the otherhand I own a gorgeous riverboat diamondplated. I love the game. It's so unique and just fun. Plus it looks awesome with leds. I love trying to win each casino game in trying to spell CASINO.

Tough call.

Agreed tough call. Twister's spinning magnet toy is fun. RG is unique and has that classic Sys11 feel to it. Neither stands out to me in the art department.

Since you don't have any other DMD games, I'd probably go for the Twister.

I'd normally say DMD > Alphanumeric almost any day of the week... but for me, this is Bill Paxton vs. System 11.

On one hand you have Bill Paxton (Skip to 3:00 mark and listen as long as you can before breaking your speakers. You will break your speakers.)

On the other hand you have a really fun System 11 game with one of the best skill shots out there.

Yeah, I'd take about any game over something with Bill Paxton... so making it a good game tilts the scales that much more. But in fairness I've only played one game on Twister and probably 2 dozen on RG, so this weekend I'll play both at Pinball Wizard Game and see if this is the same feeling I have Monday.

Wow, a little surprised so far. I figured there would be a more decisive choice. Thanks for all of the replies so far. Hope more people chime in!

Only you will play or family and friends?

Loved Twister's cabinet art. Game was rather boring to me. Riverboat isn't a favorite either and both are shallow. Betting these will both need work and at 15, I'd pass.

I just sold my Twister I will say this.... it is a fun game , I have only played Riverboat gambler a few games at the Jax show last year but I do remember liking it ....... my biggest problem with Twister was that it needed a few new plastics (they are practically impossible to find so check those if interested in going with that title) & because it was a licensed theme from an old movie they will most likely never be made available again

I'd go with Riverboat.

I didn't keep my Twister long. It got boring pretty fast.

Make sure to look the red ramp over REAL good for breakage.

Those are impossible to find.

thanks for the additional replies. This game would be used by me and friends and family as well

Non-pinball people usually go for the Licensed games. Most females love the twister game also. Its a fun game.
