My Twister is having a problem with the ball lock. It doesnt seem to recognize when the balls get locked. I have checked every switch and they all work my only concern is that the only way i know how to check the underground optos is to take the part off and check them. Each one checks fine. is it possible they arent lined up when i put them back together? Anyone else have a problem with this?

Does the switch register in test?

When taken off it does. I take the trough off and test it manually

I know on mine I had a flaky ball trough opto and replaced it and the locks worked fine after that

You replaced the 4 opto part?

What was flaky about it?

I believe those bslls register via a pressure sensitive contact strip. Check the connectors really well, and you can also adjust the position just a bit. I think there was a previous thread somewhere in pinside, where the owner had to adjust the position a bit to get the balls to register reliably.
