I think this is the problem with my Twister. I cant get 1 of the 4 optos to fire in a switch test. Is this a part that rarely needs replaced? Are they fixable? Is there a way to clean it up? Its a 100.00 part and dont want to just buy another if it is not for sure the problem Thanks in advance.

"That wears over time"...that might tell me what I need to know. Thanks!!

That would be way beyond my skillset...

So took it apart and it worked fine with the PF up and with the trough removed. All 4 spots registered when i touched them. Put it all back together and absolutely nothing. In a single switch test not one of the 4 registered. Im stumped.

Any hints?

Quoted from Gunnut40:

I replaced mine it was not the problem. I had a broken sodor joint on a pin on the diode board it connects to. You may want to check those since it is real easy to do.

The super small board it connects to? What was yours doing?

Any tips on how to check that board? BTW love your avator. I have a Springfield XD

Quoted from Gunnut40:

Yeah I’ll take pics on how to do it tonight.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Thanks a bunch. the horseshoe switch seems to be working in all of the switch test. the game always knows if there is a ball in the VUK. It doesnt know when there is a ball in the trough.
