Quoted from dnaman:Agreed, just terrible. The audio was atrocious and the ad hoc mouth noises, unnecessary and very distracting. I tried to fast forward through a handful of awards and finally tuned it off.
The best part of it were the 3D and video effects for the presentations. Next year please hire a competent audio production company and remind the hosts/guests to not put the mic in their mouths while speaking.
I was watching it in person; at least you had the option to fast forward. I think the audio problem stemmed from the fact that the monitors in the hall weren't really that loud, but the feed online was over the top. So I'm not sure they had any idea how bad the streaming audio was because you sometimes couldn't hear what they were saying in the hall. But still...no excuse and they should have had their act together.
