    Quoted from TreyBo69:

Yeah and pinside was wrong about Maiden being a good theme. Elwin didn't seem to be into Maiden either, but he was able to graft it onto his design (Plus who knows what options Stern gave him to pick from)
It is a great game though. It's done well the past year while the pinheads get their fill. But in my experience, random people don't like it. Don't care for the theme, don't understand the rules, it's got some tough shots, not many obvious objectives to them, etc...

Iron Maiden Prem does great on the mostly n00b-player route I help with. Not jjPotC great, but very well, and jjPotC is much newer.

Why is Homepin teasing a new game? Why not fix the one they have? Get it off the modern "worst pin ever" list?

    Quoted from bingopodcast:

Six years before - and you didn't even need the backend computing power of Azure to do it!

Microsoft has been promoting - and failing at - "the power of the cloud" in gaming for YEARS. Crackdown was supposed to have completely destructable environments with realistic demolition and a bunch of other stuff thanks to the "power of the cloud." None of it happened. Lag was the main problem, IMO.

Free wuhan virus in each bag?

    #1341 4 years ago
    Quoted from pin2d:

Not unless the virus came from California or North Carolina! (that's where these were made)

Are you SURE those pins came from the US? Most companies that sell them at a price that's not ridiculously expensive are just fronting Chinese factories in my experience.

Doesn't matter, though. Throwaway topical joke...

    Nice article.

Those coin-door level speaker grilles are an open invitation for kids on route to smash food into. Wrap around backbox looks cool, but seems ill-suited for routes.

Screened parts information on the back of playfields is great.

I don't need a list of your next 15 pins, deeproot. How about you ship one and we'll go from there?

    Quoted from pin2d:

    - Interviews with Dennis Nordman and David Fix

David Fix on the reason Joe Balcer was pushed to becoming an outside contractor. "Joe has a unique way of working with other people."

    #1531 3 years ago
    Quoted from pin2d:

    David Fix seems kinda aggressive

Yeah, that quote really stuck out. But given Joe's history, maybe that's the most diplomatic thing he could say? Seems like a good opportunity for David to just say Joe's now going to be working as an outside contractor with more freedom and leave it at that.

    Quoted from TheLaw:

I wouldn't go as far as a "hell of a designer."
Creech is an all time classic fo sho and then......umm Congo I guess? Way more trash than good for me.

But what was interesting about Trudeau is he tried to make each design COMPLETELY different than anything else he had done. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't (well, often it didn't), but it wasn't Borg mirroring layouts for 10 years.

    Quoted from pin2d:

The pop bumpers locations are pretty bold.
    [quoted image]

Maybe someday someone will try the reverse pop bumper garden like he has here. Could be a disaster with accelerated shots to the outlanes, but could also be super interesting. I'd play it.

    Quoted from JodyG:

Is pinball DLC about to be here? Hope not.

It's already essentially here with the toppers that enable modes otherwise locked in the code if you don't have them.
