I think the quality poll would have been about the same if done before GnR. I don't know if JJP is that far out front, but they have the best fit and finish pins right now, and have since WOZ.

Yeah, that quote really stuck out. But given Joe's history, maybe that's the most diplomatic thing he could say? Seems like a good opportunity for David to just say Joe's now going to be working as an outside contractor with more freedom and leave it at that.

There was no reason to publish this image or story. Not only is it very old content, it just wasn't necessary.

Frankly, none of the pinball news, facts, designs, etc. that we're constantly reading is necessary or current. And in this case, it's not like it's a positive perspective on the designer or anything. Personally I find it to be an interesting aspect of the behind-the-scenes aspect of pinball design as a whole.

I get it, these aren't for everyone. I personally find info about machines that were never made pretty fascinating. Why not? We can all agree John was a dirty pedophile in his personal life. He got caught and is paying the price. That does not change the fact that he was a hell of a designer when it came to pinball and we should all be adult enough to discuss it. Sticking our heads in the sand and acting like he didn't exist is not going to make anything better.
Do you curse every JT designed game?

But what was interesting about Trudeau is he tried to make each design COMPLETELY different than anything else he had done. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't (well, often it didn't), but it wasn't Borg mirroring layouts for 10 years.

Sure so he gets credit for changing ideas, but since most of them sucked it washes out.
Borg at least ripped of Lawlor. Borg probably has more dogs than anyone due to output. Unlike miss per attempts like Balcer or someone else
