I thought that Alice art was by Scott G (WOOLY) ?

Nope, here's Scott's version:
and here's Zombie Yeti's backglass:

Whoops! Good catch...fixed!

They don't, but I had to upgrade my hosting package in order to get SSL Certificate to migrate from http to https. I'm not an expert on it by any means but got some advice from people I trust and that was what they suggested.
Good scoop on aiw. $50k must be a joke, right? How many are they making? AIW better not be some kind of preorder.

Hopefully it just means they will have a $50,000 dollar version. Then have a bunch of normal versions. The foam core mock up looks really cool.

For $50k JPOP crashes on your couch. No thanks.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:AIW better not be some kind of preorder.
I would be very surprised if they do anything like that - they've been pretty adamant publicly that they're not doing any pre-orders.

I also hope there is one more affordable than $50k! We're hoping to do a mini update interview with Robert (the head guy at deeproot) at some point in the next month or so, either on TWIP or on the TWIP Podcast, so maybe we'll find out a bit more then...
The deep root scam is starting to make sense now.
“We will make all those who lost money on Alice in Wonderland whole by offering them full credit toward a $50,000 Pinball machine. The good news is it will feature things we’ve never seen in a pinball machine before!”
$50k pinball is ridiculous. I hope they don't sell a single damn unit at that price and crawl back into a hole feeling embarrassed for even attempting such a stupid stunt, but some idiot will probably shell out.
If you buy a fifty thousand dollar pinball machine you're a moron. I don't care who you are. If you're my friend and you spend that on a pin I'm going to tell you I think you're an idiot.
I will maybe make an exception for some random piece of rare game history, but a new game, designed to sell at that price? GTFO
Quoted from Aurich:If you buy a fifty thousand dollar pinball machine you're a moron. I don't care who you are. If you're my friend and you spend that on a pin I'm going to tell you I think you're an idiot.
I thought that of people spending $5k on a pinball machine when I got into the hobby. Then I became one of the idiots apparently.

Well if you ever go up to 50K You're no longer stupid just filthy rich.
Quoted from TheLaw:Well if you ever go up to 50K You're no longer stupid just filthy rich.
Or both.
"Features never seen before on a pinball machine"
So does this mean we will finally see those new redesigned hinges?

What advantage can it possibly be for a pinball company to make a smaller, limited run of a machine for the purpose of increasing its value in years to come? Stern won't make any money on potential increased re-sale value. The only one I can think of is putting the price tag on that small batch very high, i.e. Super LE only. Otherwise, if the game and property are so awesome, high volume sales of already high cost items would be the way to make big money. I'd hate so see a popular property like The Beatles in a limited only run with lots of average folks not being able to have one, while someone who can easily afford $15K SLE's parks two boxes in his storage unit to sell on a rainy day in 2021.
Quoted from LTG:Be nice now. Them older farts need lots of fixin.

No doubt! My 95 year old mother is still wondering when we will see that "Oklahoma" the musical, pinball game.

The horse hasn't moved in months. I think it's dead.
I am having a hard time seeing how The Beatles license is going to move me in the ways the person being interviewed is describing. I am seeing a bunch of hype and hyperbole though.
Quoted from JodyG:I am having a hard time seeing how The Beatles license is going to move me in the ways the person being interviewed is describing. I am seeing a bunch of hype and hyperbole though.
Truth of the matter is although this hobby is comprised of many old farts, many that are making these games and picking these themes are even older farts.
Quoted from o-din:Deleted post
You are older than most here, so what is your take on it?
Quoted from PinballManiac40:You are older than most here, so what is your take on it?
My take on it is there are older farts than me making these decisions.
Remember, Odin is the biggest whiner about old people themes and he bought a BM66.
Stern knows their demographic.
Quoted from JodyG:I am having a hard time seeing how The Beatles license is going to move me in the ways the person being interviewed is describing. I am seeing a bunch of hype and hyperbole though.
I doubt anyone younger than 60 gives a damn about the Beatles. It would be just another pin to most. Think about what gets the most attention these days. I'm betting it's a Cute Cat Videos pin. Could be Jersey Shore. If it's a Kardashians pin I'll probably throw up.
