Quoted from benheck:

One of the many things Kaneda is right about is how engineers are the true unsung heroes of pinball. I see this with my CGC game, the skill Pete is bringing to my concepts.
John would be very well suited to a creative director or art director role, but investors don't realize that and expect that he can do everything. Then are shocked when he can't.
I've posited this before but it bears repeating - how many Scott Danesis or Keith Elwins have gone undiscovered because so many rich dudes keep chasing the same purple dragon?

In all fairness, both of these guys, Elwin and Danesi pretty much discovered themselves armed with their own homebrews showing their capabilities with a functional product...

Regarding Haggis. I saw on a video that they have options to the consumer for playfield coating. Typical CC and one option is a proprietary non-dimpling playfield process. Anyone know anything about that non-dimpling process? Has anyone here chosen that for their Celts or Fathom?

Quoted from Makakka:

Im no expert in U.S. economy and politics but afaik this aint taxpayer money its money out of thin air from nobodys pocket nobody ever worked for. The money printing went parabolic last year (so maybe will inflation).

It is taxpayer's money or money borrowed by the government in terms of bonds with interest that have to be paid back - with taxpayer's money. There is no thin-air money. Now the value of a dollar fluctuates that's true, in terms of buying power, with fluctuations in printed money supply, and low interest rates beckon the government to borrow as much money as possible. When inflation gets reined in with higher interest rates, the borrowing gets more painful. That's why the Fed and the executive and legislative branches of government are separate, or supposed to be anyway, as the goals of each are not aligned. That said, inflation is rampant, just not traditional inflation, more like supply side problems with the same demand it seems.
