Quoted from Mr68:

I'm pretty sure the Deeproot logo is modeled after Linda Lovelace.

The funny thing is if you squint so is Iceman's avatar.

The only thing I think of when I see that pinbar is a drunk doing a Macho Man elbow drop on it.

Quoted from Rarehero:

Heighway actually had a factory & got some stuff built. I think the amount of money Andrew ran out of is tiny compared to what RM has wasted….but if you’re underwater by any amount, you can’t pay people…and if you can’t pay people, you’re done. The second RM hired tons of designers & a huge animation team, it was over.

What if it's something insane like there never was a huge design team? Just a bunch of employees on the books and the investment money got funneled that way? Might be possible if RM owned his own payroll company. They had five years, two guys could have easily done everything that has been seen. Some of this seems like more than a failure.

Quoted from Inside:

There is another file that can be found here: https://enforcedata.dol.gov/views/search.php when doing "Search by Company Name" and deeproot. I can't format it right, but it appears to be the "BW ATP" which is "back wages agreed to pay".
$1.4M for 88 employees for 4/1/2019 to 7/5/2019 (95 days or 13 weeks/4days). Let's call it 14 weeks. That works out to ~$100,000/week or ~$5.2M/year in wages if you have 88 employees.

I'm still thinking the possibility is he ran the investment dollars through a payroll company and diverted that money to himself rather than paying employees. He was probably stupid enough to think he was going to get massive amounts of pre-orders on pinball and be able to use that money to pay employees back (maybe only enough to keep them on the hook, just like investors in the fund) instead of manufacturing the machines. Given his behavior it would make sense he would then keep delaying pinball machine delivery and manufacturing, keeping the pinball deposit people on the hook. Ponzis within a Ponzi.

The picture of that “payment coupon” is revolting. It’s actually nauseating and makes me angry.[quoted image]

LOL, love the text on that one: when it is convenient, send 2 grand now
