Quoted from wolfemaaan:Well, looking forward to whatever they turn out even if it’s a pin called Finger Ass
I heard there are 4 flipper in the shape of fingers and the flipper buttons are ballon knot shaped. In the Finger ass pin.
Quoted from deeproot:I appreciate your enthusiasm, but maybe not share stuff that’s inaccurate. That number is too low.
—Robert dT
Can you give us a photo of anything. Maybe on Easter Sunday we get a sneak peek of something game related?
Quoted from benheck:There's a simple reason why pinball doesn't have any of this advanced technology.
It's not because it isn't possible. It's because everyone capable of doing it already have six figure jobs at SpaceX, Apple, Tesla, NASA, Lockheed Martin or (insert giant tech corp here).
Wrong!!! Everything is possible!!!..
Maybe DR is so quiet because it truly wants to help the customers from the past and clean up the mess that was left behind . Then start over again clean with a head of steam.
This would be a refreshing game plan!
Quoted from JodyG:Pinball is easy when you are burning through 750k of other peoples money every month with no money coming back in.
Lets wait and see before we throw shade!!
All I can say is that i hope Deeproot puts its money where it mouth is.
I wish nothing but the best for Pinball and competitive pinball manufacturing.
Let us hope Deeproot give us everything that other pinball manufacturers have not... As stated!!!
Only time will tell!
Good luck Deeproot!!!
Quoted from Bublehead:Because the seriousness people throw around in here is pure bullshit on the planetary scale... because on this planet right now, statistically speaking, nobody gives two Hershey squirts about deep root pinball except Pinside. That makes me laugh, har-de-har-har!
Hmmm!
Deeproot means nothing to the Pinball manufacturing world as we know it today..
It has NONE!! No pinball machine or Machines contributions to the pinball community as we speak..
Hopefully Deeproot can put it’s money where it’s mouth is.
Show me the pins!!
Quoted from Drewscruis:This entire thread is nothing short of a dumpster fire
Some dumpster fires could be considered controlled or contained.
I want the whole pinball machine to “hover” off the ground.
“No Legs.” Self leveling.
No exceptions Deeproot.
My early opinion.
I was looking to be much more satisfied with the release then I am.
That being said I consider RAZA as very underwhelming at this point. I thought deeproot would want to hang its hat on something a little more solid. Actually much more solid!!
This is a decent effort but with all the hype and talk that Deeproot put forward. This is less than satisfying.
I hope they put better pins together in the future. That is what would be best for the consumers of Pinball.
My review is “underwhelming at this point.”
Quoted from zaphX:Another gameplay video which shows some success on the ramp.
I’d say I make the ramp 40 percent of the time. It’s not frustrating to miss either. Just fun when you do.
Looks like the ball spends more time going no where than somewhere.
Quoted from zaphX:I'm not going to keep feeding the trolls in here.
My final word is that I really enjoyed playing it, and I wanted to play it more.
It Is a open thread of opinions.
Let’s keep It a open line of opinions.
For better or worse.
Quoted from cjchand:It is when people who have not laid hands on the game express misinformed opinion as fact that it becomes a fools errand to try and share our experience with the community.
Most have only seen pics and vids at this point.
While the pics of RAZA look great. The vids of RAZA game play are far from great.
Who can post a link of good game play Video anyone?
My opinion of RAZA is underwhelming at this point.
Pics look good.
Vids of game play lookS underwhelming.
No not the person playing or taking the video. The game.
Time will tell. Hope RAZA shapes up to be a winner in the end!
Quoted from delt31:Agree with whoever said pics looked cool but gameplay underwhelming. It doesn't look bad but not ground breaking considering the time. Not a bad game but was hoping for more considering the hype.
That was me with the “underwhelming” comment.
It is a polite way to express my early take on the game play and mechanisms in the game.
RAZA is “underwhelming underglass” at this point.
The rest of the pin looks good to me but that is not as important as what is underglass to me.
Deeproot needs to add a magnetic ring to advance the ball up that ramp.
I am thinking something similar to P3 cosmic cart racing.
Is there any reason to have a ramp that is so difficult to achieve?
Quoted from zaphX:The ramp was one of my favorite things.
Did you actually play the game?
Limp ramp!
Quoted from iceman44:All of the reviews are great.
Two questions that matter most. How much will it cost?
How much would you pay for that game?
Under 5K as it is . Needs work.
Quoted from pinlink:Hey, did you see the part about this being a prototype? Jesus Christ, people.
Yes I did that is why I said it needs work. My name is Frank.
Quoted from DerGoetz:Plays the prototype, determines it needs work.
Found the expert here.
I was responding to iceman44 question . Still needs work in my "expert" opinion ...LOL
Quoted from wesman:So if Pinside is a sewer to Robert then that makes us all.....?[quoted image]
“PINRATS” Chewing on “Underwhelming Prototypes!”
Quoted from DS_Nadine:When I look at the RAZA playfield , compared to a bare looking Strager Things (Pro), that is exactly why I'm hopefull for another competitor being around. Especially if they'll actually manage to be competitive pricewise.
When Stern had that Fighter Jet decoration made out of flat plastics in "24" people said they're done for... now they don't even have those.
Stranger Things will blow RAZA away .
Quoted from JodyG:Raise your hand if you are planning on making a trip across the country to go see Raza played again?
I will be there. Looking forward to it.
Quoted from Fulltilt:So..
I've been offered 2 machines for the money I lost with Zidware.
Never been asked to pay a dime at this point.
Got offered airfare, accommodations and passes to the TPF.
Not a bad deal so far.
Sweet, good for you.
Nobody wants to be surprised or have there socks blow off just start showing some sneak peaks of progress.
Better then looking hopeless.
Let’s go Deeproot! Keep us interested!
Quoted from iceman44:This is looking like a very sad story.
The excuses, missed timelines, etc... Not even ONE game after all this time and money. Hard to believe.
I had a lot of hope but this is crazy..
Quoted from JodyG:Deepwho? Stern is back to eating everyone's lunch as usual. A lame teaser isn't going to cut it any more, guys.
I agree, Avengers is a home run. Going to be hard to complete with that.
My .02 cent.
deeproot needs to release Raza as is.
It is definitely awkward looking at the pictures but if a well done video of The pin and its gameplay is released in the next few days it might be able to save Raza.
Then make your adjustments after your first release.
The wait is killing this project for most.
Hope something positive comes of this.
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:But If the game don’t shoot... I mean the community crucified Houdini, which started as another JPop disaster ... and the shipped game CAN shoot!
Just saying if the pin plays well and is ready to go ship it and get past it.
Quoted from solarvalue:Obviously if the pin played well they wouldn't have cancelled the reveal.
Is that why? Does anyone know for sure?
Quoted from Airball:Funny this looks great now.
[quoted image]
I believe you are correct.
It might be as simple as purple side armor , lock down bar and legs or maybe a green to match. Or mix both purple trim green legs vice versa.
Throw in a mirror back glass with some artwork and price it at $4999.00 it 500-1000 units sell out.
If it plays well and has decent code with attention to code updates and polish and it goes well .
Quoted from Scandell:Are you intentionally being daft? It’s not speculation. Speak for yourself. YOU don’t know the details.
So what are the details??
Does not hurt to ask someone for the details .
If they want to answer fine if not fine.
Not going to change my day.
Quoted from iceman44:While I’m waiting for RAZA I was just told my GNRCE will arrive in 2-3 weeks!
Same shoes here. GNR CE and RAZA.
Quoted from spfxted:Do we need another break??
[quoted image]
Motorboat break time..
Quoted from frankmac:Frank says
viva La Raza
Quoted from benheck:I've changed my mind guys! I think JPOP is the best designer ever! So what if he hasn't shipped a real game since the Clinton administration. Have you seen these games? They're SO BEAUTIFUL!
Is deeproot hiring? I'd love to help get this game across the finish line. I'll take any job, perhaps as one of the 5 interns tasked with Starbucks runs for The Great One?
I'd like to ask the community to forgive me for all the negative things I've said about JPOP over the years. It turns out he was right, and I was wrong.
Have a great day and God bless!
April fools.
Quoted from iceman44:You guys are running out of good creative material while we all wait here!
I am going to try and go by early next week to take a few pics of the parking lot for you guys.
Should provide some excellent fodder and get the creative juices flowing again!
Just ring the bell and ask to go in..
Quoted from benheck:Cars in the lot? So they are actually going for it?
Guess the question then becomes... Is there a Game #2? If so, how do the investors react when Food Truck only sells 200 units?
Gremlins #2
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:So this
[quoted image]
is this?https://www.flasonsmt.com/samsung-sm320-pick-and-place-machine-5121251.html
[quoted image]
Simple it a counterfeiting machine. There was a few delays on green ink due to Covid.
Quoted from meSz:some give kaneda the suicide prevention number!
He would have his own TWIPY made..
