Quoted from CrazyLevi:

I'd be interested in knowing when these folks finally broke through the denial stage and starting to move toward acceptance. Was it when the checks started getting delayed? Before? After?
When did the resume polishing start to begin en masse?

I was an employee in 2019 and can speak to that time. I looked for and found another job immediately upon first payday with no check. Many others were right behind me.

That time in 2019 was hilarious (not the lack of pay but the effects). Lots of employees called in sick for weeks on end, took unannounced vacations, etc. One dude even posted that he wouldn’t be in anytime soon because his car was impounded. So it’s not like we just sat around and took it. Many of us made alternate plans and only stuck around until they came through.

PSA to any 2021 deeproot employees: a former (departed in 2021) employee notified me that since there were 2 payroll vendors in 2021 and also I bet due to multiple issues with paying those vendors and all else, employees have not received 2021 W2s. Employees must:
1. contact IRS to inform IRS of not receiving W2
2. Use form 4852 to estimate W2 info

Taxes for employees who were paid through Paychex during 2021 cannot be efiled and must be sent via US mail. Paychex will not issue additional docs since deeproot is not a current client.

Very sorry for anybody affected and hope this helps.

Quoted from TreyBo69:

Idk about the board sets but the game rules and software was made in Unity
Maybe you get lucky and the hard drives haven’t been wiped.
The IP, for the games Brandes doesn’t already own, isn’t up for sale. Maybe it will be later as part of the bankruptcy. They’re focusing on the stuff in the office building because they need to clear it out ASAP for the landlord.

Does anybody know the deal with equipment and supplies from the Utah studio? Apologies if I missed that info, but I don’t recall seeing anything about what happened to items from that facility?

In addition, this attorney specializes in estate law, which I believe was Robert's area while he practiced law.

Was it communicated that the Black Hole machine doesn't work?

If memory serves, Black Hole was not operational when I worked there in 2019, if that info helps anybody.

Since the deeproot bankruptcy trustee auction inspection was today, I went over to take a look, and I sent Blueberry Johnson several pictures. Here is some info the group may be interested in.
1. Auctioneer staff says nobody took computers. At first, auction house was wiping all computers there in preparation for selling, but it became clear they would not have enough time to complete that task. So the missing computers were removed from the sale at the trustee's request, to prevent any sensitive information going out with the computers.
2. Both San Antonio facilities were open for inspection. The second facility is across the street from the back of the large Silicon Dr. facility, and it houses some enormous equipment. The biggest machine is for spraying, coating, and drying panels (I assume meant for cabinets and playfields) and costs about $500k new. It looked like that second facility was just in the beginning stages of being reworked to suit deeproot purposes, because it was all torn up.
3. Per info on a white board for sale, 125 RAZAs were sold total. 69 arcade, 56 xtra.

In the auction excitement, don't forget there was a deeproot creditors meeting today. Here is what I heard:
1. One woman named Kim asked about 15 very in-depth questions about deeproot investments. It appears her parents invested and lost quite a bit of money. She made it clear that Robert got to know her family while convincing them to invest. Robert acknowledged that he does know them quite well and then took the 5th amendment to avoid self-incrimination to EVERY question.
2. One investor confronted Robert about his $466,000 and asked if Robert ever actually had that money when he said he did or was it gone immediately. That prompted a 5th amendment plead.
3. One investor asked how Robert sleeps at night, and another suggested Robert should "burn in hell." There were no responses to those statements.

I got this in the deeproot auction. It would be a lovely addition to a game room (or I think somebody may have mentioned shitter before), but I don’t think I have a proper space in my home. It is very heavy (40 pounds?) and therefore would be expensive to ship, but I figure somebody may be willing. Please PM me if you would be interested in buying it.

It measures 16 inches wide, 9 inches tall, and 2.25 inches deep. It’s actually pretty cool.

Is that like, a hand-painted piece of wall? Fred Sanford might be interested.

It’s carved stone, maybe quartz?

Is somebody able to refresh our memory about Chris Turner paying premiums to keep these policies in force even though at that point he had ZERO ownership? I recall a mention that the judge sounded impressed at that when Tuyo put in its bid for purchase. I hope that perhaps the judge will rethink that sentiment given this objection. Perhaps Turner paying those premiums with no obvious benefit to him really indicates there is more to this story that needs attention.

Quoted from JStoltz:

Missed the details, but something was mentioned about Mueller/Deeproot being partial owners of a building worth ~$5.2M. I think that's news to me, but I'm no Blueberry Johnson.

I believe she said Robert owns deeproot RE 12621 company, which owns the Silicon Dr building and now has it for sale for over $5 million. So the question is why isn’t anybody going after that money? And the answer seems to be “um not sure…”

#30528 2 years ago
Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

I really want the details on what was said about the ownership of the building because I know Robert had an LLC with that address but that it was just an entity for the money he was spending on installing facility upgrades (because he leased a place that wasn't equipped for the work he wanted done). And it seems odd to me that if he owned the building itself he'd be stuck in a contentious past due rent situation, a contentious get your shit out of my building so I can show it relationship, and that the same group in charge of renting it out back in 2017 (who rented it to Robert) would now be in charge of trying to sell it (not to Robert).
Are people sure it was being alleged that he owns the HQ? And, if so, are people sure that that allegation is well founded?

The female lawyer definitely said Robert is owner or partial owner, and she pointed out that any proceeds from the sale should be part of all these bankruptcy dealings. The clear implication was that right now the building is not listed in the bankruptcy proceedings so sale is not subject to any of those rules.

Is it possible he did not own the building several years ago (when whole issue came up with lease prohibiting manufacturing) but now does?

Quoted from blueberryjohnson:

Brutal investor declarations

These are indeed horrifying.

But are we to understand that deeproot did actually pay the 5% returns for years to some investors? The one says he invested in 2018 and received his last return payment in 2021. So he got his 5% checks that whole time? To me, that is the most surprising part of all these declarations.
