Going back to the topic (deeproot dumpsterfire).
Just watched this ”pinball is easy” expo video:
I feel sorry for some of the team members.
Quoted from wrb1977:...
I am out on RAZA...for now at least.
-Wayne
Bravo! This sums it up pretty nicely.
Quoted from Mbecker:They did say in December that it would start in January- didn’t they? Just checking.. January seems to be almost over
They didn't say which year.
”Vendors promising one thing before they get their money, than quickly changing their tune after getting their money is the most prevalent reason for the delayed orders and parts.
-Robert J. Mueller”
Those damn vendors. Luckily pinball companies never do this with their products....oh wait....
"I made the decision not to show production lines or illusory and deceptive pictures of parts or lines or cabinets for many obvious reasons."
Obvious reasons being that you didn't have parts or production lines.
How on earth does company make promises about shipping schedules before they even have:
- UL/CE testing approved
- Working production line, including workers
- Required parts on the table
Quoted from Zablon:This seems like a great time to plug my new product PinPee for when you are in the middle of a great game and can't walk away but you gotta go now!
We already have cupholders.
Could it be, that they never intended to produce anything? Just hoped that some competitor (*cough* stern *cough*) would buy their hype train and glorious patents.
Quoted from pbwizard14:They're learning as they go along...
By reading the old quotes, it sure looked like they had everything figured out already.
Quoted from TheCreature:Waiting for the Netflix ‘tell-all’ documentary.
Deeproot - The Fyre festival of pinball.
Quoted from iceman44:They are all free to leave NOW aren’t they?
Has Robert enslaved them? If it was that easy to get another job and DR was a total
Shit place to work then why have any of the “good people” stayed?
Quoted from NoQuarters:Probably a big update coming tomorrow on production progress. After all it will be April 1st.
Update for customers by the end of March was an internal goal and external expectation. Not a promise.
They are sorry for not communicating clearly enough. To avoid any misunderstandings in the future, the goals have been removed.
Quoted from hank527:Also, we will all be able to disclose the details of our lawsuit and how ridiculous John and Robert have been. A lawsuit we won and still have not received any $.
There was/is a lawsuit against Deeproot?
Quoted from Zablon:Please expand....is this a reanimated hooker or a 'where do I hide the body' hooker?
Either way I'm in for the LE.
It's like you have had a good laugh at this kid for a long time for what he said and done. And then later find out that he's retarded. It's no longer fun.
After hearing those interviews, I feel sad.
Quoted from djd9617:...but the electronics being shown do at least seem "innovative". Not all innovation is a step in the right direction
Then it's not an innovation. Innovation is when the new idea revolutionizes the way of making something. It's an obvious improvement and many times becomes the industry standard from that moment on. For example: Seatbelts, airbags, ABS, TC in cars.
If you just do something differently, it doesn't make it an innovation.
That word is being used way too often/lightly and has started to lose it's meaning.
Quoted from ArcadeRaid:There should be a Deeproot themed pinball machine where your score starts at 60 million and you try to blow your points as fast as possible. Let's brainstorm. What modes would you include?
Preorder hurryup and octomanufacturing multiball. Both modes burn points like you've never seen before.
