He first thing they should do is change that gastly name.

Firstly in my part of the world the name has sexual connotations. It sounds like it should be the name of a brothel or a sex shop. And in other parts of the world one would assume that they are an agricultural company.

Quoted from epthegeek:

Logo still looks like a butt w/ plug. The Aussie slang doesn't help the impression any.

Indeed. They definitely should consider rebranding. I thought the name alone was bad, but then saw the logo. You are so right. It does look like something is penetrating an arsehole..lol.

That has got to be the worst logo and name combination I have ever seen. Australia is a huge market for pinball and something got lost in translation here. This just cracks me up (Makes me laugh).

Subscription DLC for Pinball is distasteful and unacceptable. A completely repugnant idea that will be the end of the hobby as we know it.

If true, I pray the pinball community vote with their wallets, put an end to the nonsense swiftly, and signal to the manufacturers a loud and resounding NO!

Quoted from iceman44:

If i had a nickel for every time i heard "vote with your wallets" over the past decade over bad pf's, code, quality etc. i could buy another fleet of pins!
People are gonna buy it no matter what. Look at the crappy JP and Elvira toppers for those prices to get a little extra experience of the game.
GB should have been done correctly from the beginning but after a few years when Dwight finally got around to it, the new code breathed some great new life into the game.
I'd like to see that happen across all of these $7-$10k pins we are buying from time to time. Of course, "it should all be free".

It is SUBSCRIPTION DLC that is the issue here. (Making people subscribe on a monthly or annual basis to obtain the downloadable content in order to obtain the full experience) It opens a dangerous precedent and a very slippery slope.

Quoted from iceman44:

How do you like that Elvira topper? Lol
I don’t really care what Deeproot does or doesn’t do
I’d pay for one time substantial updates on my older games from Stern or JJP
So would everybody else
In fact, I already do it with Timlah’s awesome effort on JP

You seem to be missing the point though. No doubt many would consider a one time payment for DLC. However, Deeproot (if true) are considering a SUBSCRIPTION model. (Not a one time payment) There is a difference.

Once the pinball community agrees to a subscription model, then the floodgates will open for us all to be taken advantage of.
