You are so pinball famous that you have haters and trolls. Bask in the glory.

Hey don't forget the groupies.

I'm confused... is there a blueberry special here we can partake in? Found Levi's, but where is yours?

Please explain the label of Pinside Gadfly and how that benefits your resume.

Yes, this is the first seminar /
Live presentation weve come up with for Nycpc.

There will be many more!

Though I wasn't involved in the copywriting, I wouldn't disagree with your suggestion of word choice casting reputational aspersions (perhaps unintentionally).

For whatever reason, it seems a common denominator with good old blueberry. I recall Zach including "infamous" in my introduction for podcast #1.

Though none of this is of particular concern, it is mildly perplexing. Assumed I was one of the good guys when it came to the deeproot tornado clusterfuck.

#31107 1 year ago

Infamous is an adjective that is derived from the Latin prefix in- which means not, opposite of, and the Latin word famosus, which means renowned, celebrated. Therefore infamous would imply a person is not famous, but locally known, perhaps. Sounds kind of like blueberry.

Notorious means publicly known, usually unfavorably, for some sort of bad quality. I just don’t think blueberry is known well enough for all of his bad qualities, so infamous he shall be until he can build a larger fan base and get the word out Oh yeah, his bad qualities are on top of bad behavior, I’ll bet.

The story of Zitware almost seems like an Aesop's fable. A tale of middle aged men throwing endless cash into a pit, desperately trying to recapture their youth. And the ironic twist is in the end all they have to show for it is an empty wallet and more years of life wasted.

You are one of the good guys, I just found the word funny. Haven't heard the word Gadfly snice my grandmother used it decades ago. I think she had a different meaning for it back then... And the dictionary explanation of the word doesn't apply to you at all.

Could the word gadfly be making a comeback? This geezer wants to know.

#31110 1 year ago

As a nearly lifelong word enthusiast, I find this off-topic discussion less off-putting than most

Gadfly doesn’t seem so bad to me.

Kind of like wag. Punter. Pundit?

If people are getting comfortable using gadfly,
and have taunted infamous - it is time to evolve further and blueberry is gadfamous.

Here is the best definition.

If Barfly and Gonads had a baby, it would be a Gadfly.

When whatever is to be announced on the new deeprootpinball.com is announced, will it have anything to do with either of the games discussed in this more than 10 year old video?

Of note: John indicates that at this point people were already pressing him to find out when things were going to be finished and alleges that a working Magic Girl prototype is just off camera.

If pussycat bowling ever gets released, my grail will finally be within reach !

I forget when/where I saw it, but at some point John was offering as a commercial service to make whatever pinball machine any John Q. Public commissioned of him.

So if you want that grail, go get that grail. I assume he's open to new work opportunities.

Ya Levi just needs to manage him properly.

Pinpod, bynark, and merlin's arcade

Bynark appears to be some sort of engineering firm in India.

Hello to whoever is creating these. They are clearly doing it for our entertainment in this thread.

I just spotted GOONIES spelt backwards 9 rows down.

yea that's the video where he talks about how he measured wrong, and "oh well, just have to get some new metal parts fabbed up". Maybe he should measure 12 times and cut once.

#31128 1 year ago

Not sure if these are anything or not.

Spotted "paukum" (line 5) and "purix" (line 8 )

Paukum is an Indian name, though I'm not sure if that's just a coincidence in the puzzle, or if it's actually supposed to be in the puzzle.

Purix is a mutual fund or a green energy company.

Fireandbrimstone(d) on the far left going up (from the f at the bottom left corner).

Snip is Pinside backwards.

Updated!

#31131 1 year ago

Found "gladiator"

The starting G is 15 down below "pinballiseasy", and diagonal up and right.

The backwards "pins" is actually a backwards "pinside". I think our mystery puzzler is saying hello

#31132 1 year ago

diagonal "pinbar" - P to the left of Merlin...

"fivedays" diagonal, at the top, near foodtruck's K.

Attack underneath foodtruck.

Some chance "machine" is "machine-age"

#31133 1 year ago

RAZA at a backwards diagonal near the middle

Updated my post with all your finds. If someone finds an octo manufacturing or "stay out of this ben" reference, let me know.

#31135 1 year ago

"yukon yeti" below pinpod

pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).png
#31136 1 year ago

This has to be a troll. What the fuck are they even doing?

It’s not like they’d ever figure out how to build any of those junk prototypes and make a profit

#31137 1 year ago
Quoted from Medisinyl:

Attack underneath foodtruck.

Looks like "Attack Ned"

pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).png
#31138 1 year ago

"pinarmor" diagonal up/right - P above Goonies O

#31139 1 year ago

My initials are there along with JP. Many times, but I know nothing!

#31140 1 year ago

"silicon drive" diagonal/down - S to left of Galdiator R.

#31141 1 year ago

Was that all the game titles, or is there a couple still missing?

pasted_image (resized).pngpasted_image (resized).png
#31142 1 year ago

No Title TBD? Garbage

#31143 1 year ago

Missing lucha libre. I didn't spot it in the puzzle.

The Who is in there. Diagonal starting above the K in Bynark

D above fireandbrimstone...not sure how I missed that before...
