This is really exciting!

Looks like RAZA ain't going for the insane money people predicted. We had people calling it north of $30K!

#29552 1 year ago

$852 for Merlins Arcade proto, Goonies proto, and some Food Truck cabinet art

$5,500. Some assembly required.

Who's gonna drive these up to TPF?

I think the reports that they are bricks and not the playable games that were shown publicly put a huge damper on things.

#29558 1 year ago

The cab with the Food Truck sign looks to be Goonies. Lower PF fits Goonies, not Food Truck.

#29559 1 year ago

RAZA #1 goes for $5500 + fees!

What a steal!

#29560 1 year ago

RAZA LE for only $5500 hammer price? That seems cheap to me even if it's a paperweight.

#29561 1 year ago

The other RAZA is up to 12,500!

But PINBAR edition is twice that!

"Big money! Big prizes! Good luck... You'll need it!"

#29563 1 year ago

The nicer of the RAZAs is up with 10 minutes left. Current bid is $12,500. This is the one people wanted and closest to not being a paperweight.

Apparently this one boots up to a debug menu of some sort.

#29565 1 year ago

So... did Deeproot employees have notice things were shutting down? Were people pilfering stuff out of the office on the last day or anything like that?

#29566 1 year ago

So, if the countdown gets low and a new bid comes in, does the countdown tack on more time?

+3 minutes

yes, adds 3 min

Personally, I prefer this to ebay sniping.

$15,000 so far for the "nicer" RAZA.

I guess people just didn't like the backbox separated by poles.

OK now we are definitely getting into "I've made a terrible mistake" buyer's remorse territory.

THis piece of shit is every inch the paperweight that the $5500 was.

I doubt whomever ends up with this is rich either - this is a hobby where people take out loans to buy LEs. Hopefully they can pass it on to some other optimistic goofball for a small profit. I see a very long chain of hot potato coming with this heap.

#29572 1 year ago

And the Goonies / Merlins / Food Truck lot goes for $850 + fees. Another bargain!

I wonder if the Goonies trademark that Deep Root almost surely obtained completely legally is included?

There are certain collectors who specifically collect prototypes, whitewoods, and other rare stuff that (probably) doesn't flip.

uh oh....website just crashed

$16,000! For a non flippling RAZA and still climbing? Where it stops nobody knows.

It’s a conspiracy lol!!!!

Those people can make terrible mistakes and have buyer's remorse too.

You know the "lottery ticket" mentality around here. Nobody paying $16K + for a RAZA really think they'll never be able to get it flipping. THey are paying for the dream.

Which will soon become a nightmare!

#29580 1 year ago

Website doesn't seem crashed to me. Lots still counting down.

ICEMAN was hitting F5 too fast. Buffer overflow.

RAZA - is there source code on the SSD? They used Unity so it would be compiled C#, as opposed to PROC/Skeleton game which uses Python.

Different is like, the guy who disassembled DE Star Wars code (insane) vs finding a TNA in the dump and locating the Python game code file, which is basically a text file.

This is true. I bought a pin from someone not on pinside who shall remain anonymous. They had over 100 pins almost all high end... including not one, but 2 Cactus Canyon Williams Whitewoods/prototypes. Cool guy.

$16,500 for RAZA and still going.

5k for those 4 junk cabs so far? yikes

Bidding also really heating up on those theater chairs, in $5 increments.

Sit where the VIP Six sat!!!

#29587 1 year ago

The bidding is getting very silly now

#29588 1 year ago

I wonder if Mueller and JPOP are watching this from home... I wonder if JPOP is trying to buy any of this himself...

Bargain of the auction was the merlins goonies food truck junk lot.

I predict the winner never has to work again.

#29591 1 year ago

Wow 16.5

#29593 1 year ago

16,500

And RAZA 2 - the pride of the Deep Root stable, the home of the Pinbar, the most revolutionary invention in the history of pinball - goes for $16,500 + fees.

That concludes the Deep Root story.

The spell is broken. People learned their lesson from Magic Girl. Nobody is ever paying $40K for this heap of shit.

I wonder what the "winner" does when it becomes clear that it's never gonna be an actual pinball machine. Tour it around the country like Bonnie and CLyde's Death Car? Or do we never see it again?

#29595 1 year ago

Two people really want a heavily worn foodtruck prototype!

Yeah, this has to be the WORST deal so far.

Where were these people when the Food Truck / Merlins / Goonies combo went for $850?

#29598 1 year ago
Quoted from benheck:

Who does this money go to again?

Quoted from flynnibus:

fund that will pay the trustee's expenses... and then goto creditors... but who/what split is gonna be messy in this one.

I just remembered...isn't this for back rent, rather than the list of creditors?

You didn't get a Food Truck in that deal, just cabinet art

But yeah the was the best "value" pile of junk
