So they brought in a focus group and found that the machine they made was not widely accepted. So hopefully they improve the product after the feedback...I hope there is at least some news from TWIP about whatever they had to show.

I assume those in attendance had to sign some non-disclosure agreement. We'll likely never know what actually happened at the media event.
I like this line:
We “hope” to update you during this process...
What the hell does that mean? Why wouldn’t you keep people updated, it’s your own damn company. Either you will or you won’t. So strange.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:It's the middle of a pandemic and Deep Root is flying people around the country for this bullshit?
I certainly wouldn't have gotten on a plane for something like this but then I don't have a podcast or youtube channel.
All the ones I recognize from that pic are local. No planes, just a quick car ride.
The irony in the count-up pages to launch, were not lost with their before death insignia.
Ashamed I wasted 35 minutes sitting around for an actual moment of clarity from them

They’d be better off not telling anything anymore until the next image is them in a line near the loading dock...bye all!
omg take my money now.. clearly this is a well run company (you guys had a countdown for weeks to make sure everything was setup)
Well the very cryptic showing on the deeppoop page probably isn't working as well as they thought.
Now why that SHMH streamer would put up a clock, making himself look to be part of this reveal is mind blowing stupid. He explained himself, but then did not stick around to talk and chat blah, blah, blah, he just ended it?? No wonder I had never followed yet. I probably never will.
Zach needs to get Kidkrisso on the next podcast to do another Brick shot !! segment, he was in chat as where about 300 folks, until the audio went dead and the stream seemed to RIP.
Quoted from JodyG:I am calling it now...Deeproot folds by October.
I don't think so, clearly they have enough money to not need any pinball sales. What's another few years pretending?
This proves that Covid was the best thing that happened to them as an easy excuse for postpone that "launch". With 9 Months of extra time they've accomplished nothing. Who's chomping at the bit to give these guys some cash?
Quoted from Mudflaps:I feel like this is all some elaborate social experiment.
It's called a f#8%k show.
I think what's really telling is based on their statement, they didn't really have many outside people come to look at what they're doing before the media came. Apparently everything was fine until some outside pinball-people came to look at what they had. Then the marketing presentation turned into a focus group and feedback session. So something is clearly very wrong somewhere. (Maybe someone finally convinced them to not show anything until games are in boxes ready to be put in trucks)
I was actually looking forward to something new and innovative today.
I guess we all got it....a New Date Reveal LOL
This is all part of Kaneda’s Bullish baller marketing reveal plan, you’ll see.
It’s all to get Gary stern to laugh so hard he relaxes on his pricing for toppers.
Quoted from pinlink:All the ones I recognize from that pic are local. No planes, just a quick car ride.
That's what I was thinking, several from around Texas. Did Jeff fly in?????

If that's true, it doesn't say much for the all star team they assembled over there. It takes Cary Hardy to come in and tell them what they've been doing wrong for the past 3 or 4 years? Wow.
Quoted from Yelobird:You wait to give your opinion 3 years later the Day before launch? Do you suppose that will stop them in their tracks now? Lol. They don’t want to be Stern, nor any other Mfr. just Deeproot and tomorrow they start the journey success or otherwise. My order is in and I suspect Many more ahead of me. Should me interesting.
Maybe you should reconsider your order.
When you brag and talk about how you're going to reinvent pinball and boom you can't even show a single game in three years stick a fork in it. Seriously.
They said TPF then 6 months later they can't reveal on a scheduled date they promoted. What??? What I find funny is they say after having this 'beta test' they only NOW realize they need more time before they do something. C'mon. Dude they play these games every single day how ONLY NOW ten minutes before the reveal do they realize the games aren't ready. Can you really take this company serious?
They promote this reveal, they tease then the day of 'oh wait we're aren't ready'.
I say again this company isn't worth now 207 pages of comments. The proof is in the pudding and these guys have proved nothing. Think about this for a second... so about 1 to 2 years after today they finally reveal something, you send them your money, then what? They keep telling you it will be another 6 months, no another year no another two years before we can ship.
How can you trust this company?
People complain about other companies and how long they take between games to develop, but these guys take the cake. Or maybe they're following the leadership or footsteps of their main designers past history.
Quoted from SmallyBells:How is Iceman taking this news?
Quoted from pipes:If that's true, it doesn't say much for the all star team they assembled over there.
I would mostly agree, but the all-star team are a bunch of designers. They need to hire manufacturers and marketers.
