    Quoted from ilovegames007:

Why is that?? Kinda a trolling Statement

only room for one chicago show, id prefer people start attending the alternate one and support change.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

Schaumberg is a WAY WAY better location and venue for this!

agreed.. stern, jjp, and american pinball can bring games to palooza, then drive a couple miles to level257 to drop off a test game. they are all much closer to schaumburg than wheeling. depending on what terry from PBL decides, the shuttle between shows could be a much shorter ride.

Which show will have the designer pens?

crossing my fingers for a good journal book vendor to use said pen

I emailed Rob yesterday early before it was known that expo was still moving forward. I told him every show needs a hook:
MGC - mixture of all gaming, plus cosplay contest
Pinball life - feels like a party, bangerjay olympic ride, free food / drink, cheap prices on parts
Arcade Expo - crap ton of pinballs and video games
Clay's VFW show - great selection of all era games, that are upkept throughout the show with techs standing by, camping and hot dog stand just outside

Expo used to be one of the few shows around. I don't think it's enough anymore to simply bring in some pins, book some guests speakers, and cater a dinner because there are a ton of other shows doing the same thing and more. I think everyone that has wanted to tour the Stern factory has done so (though I suppose if american pinball or JJP Chicago office opened it's doors, that could draw people in).

I'm not saying it's easy to run a show, but I AM saying if someone puts out a better product than they are going to go to a different show. And as many have already said, UPDATE YOUR FREAKING WEBSITE. If Rob won't do it (especially now with the breakup), then ask him for the web login credentials and hire someone to update it, why make excuses? Hell, I know there are amateur web guys on pinside that could revamp that site better than it is now.

I disagree. I started going almost 20 years ago and it was broken then.

Pinball life party September 12th then?

    Quoted from epthegeek:

Without big news, fast, about which show specific vendors and manufacturers will be at, and what the shows will offer this year in addition, I would imagine attendance from people having to travel a good distance will be down hard. Unless everyone is on auto pilot and just goes to expo because it's expo.

ya, there's still no website for pinball palooza (i'd imagine pinball news would update their article if there was): https://www.pinballnews.com/site/event/pinball-palooza/

And as usual, Pinball expo schedule of events probably won't be updated until a month before. I get that it often takes time to book guests, but MGC seems to be able to keep a running list updated on the website:

Remember when TheNoTrashCougar was just awesome, now he's a VIP guest :-0

    Quoted from GravitaR:

How did Berk's "Go it Alone" show go last year?

That show failed because 2 shows one month apart can't possibly succeed. I'm glad Berk isn't having a separate show, but taking over Expo. So many people complain about how badly the show has been doing, then when something finally happens to make change there's still people complaining.
