Hello,
This is an old thread but the felt idea helped.
Someone mentioned 'I noticed that the scoop exit had been bent by someone to make the entrance wider', this is how it is on both the right and left side of my scoop so I think it's part of the design as both are equally bent and match up with some other points in the layout.
