For me polishing with chrome polish worked great to clean the power ball.

I have installed this very small magnet it works great and cost not much. You can buy a few in different sizes and experiment until you have the best result.

Dutch website, probably also available in your area. Neodymium magnets.
Buy a few different sizes. They are very cheap. You can experiment to find the right one. It worked perfect in my TZ.
