Quoted from GRB1959:

This one is in the UK on Ebay, but it looks nice.

I purchased a very similar TZ slot machine mod from Tracy Mitchell in the US back in November of 2007 for $150 which is shown in the photo below and is still going strong.

I have that one in my machine. It looks nice and works well. I think it's 3d printed, where as some of the older ones might be made out of metal.

Quoted from Mikespinball:

The mini playfield lamp is available at Pinball Decals: https://www.pinballdecals.com/TwilightZoneLampPage.html. The slot machine I have seen on Ebay, but the quality is not the same and the slot wheels do not turn when the ball goes through. A few posts ago they discussed this. Hope this helps....Mike

If youre talking about this one, the slot wheels do turn when the ball goes through. It also lights up when the slot or super slot is lit.

Quoted from Ashram56:

Ah, that's the one I have on my TZ.
It's a 3D printed "robot", with a motor behind for the rotating antenna (which makes a lot of noise by the way, fortunately there's a switch), and it has "blinking" stars

Yea, I got one of these from cointaker recently. Looks cool, but the sound was far too loud.

Quoted from sbmania:

Looking for some advice. I'm working on a TZ and neither the clock nor the gumball will spin in test. The clock's optos all register manually in test but the hands wont turn either forward or backward. Neither will the gumball motor spin in test. Before I go all crazy searching for a solution, any ideas on what might be causing both errors. Possibly they are related?

I cant be of too much help, but to rule out something very simple I once never knew about... is the coin door closed when youre running the test?

Yesterday when I wasnt home, my family turned on our twilight zone and said they saw a smelled smoke coming out of it so they turned it off. When I got home I gave everything a quick lookover but nothing looked out of the ordinary. I powered it on and everything looks to be pretty normal, but I didnt want to risk anything without asking first so I turned it back off. The only thing I noticed that looked like it could have been out of the ordinary was that some of wire casings coming out of the power supply looked like they may have bubbled a bit.

Any other key spots I should check? What steps should I take next to prevent further damage? Ive never really dealt with something like this.

Quoted from PinballGalore:

Clock is working PERFECTLY in test. to the point, slow, fast, forward and back.
Yet during gameplay doesn’t activate. I’m used to it sometimes taking a break in the past, but now it’s just not responding at all.
What could be the problem?
Thanx in advance.

Do you have a clock error alert when you turn on the game?
I had a similar issue with my clock years ago. Clock would work fine in test, all optos would trigger, but I had a clock error on startup. My issue was that when I took the clock apart and put it back together that I messed up the hour and the minute hand so on startup it wouldnt hit the right optos in the right order (or something like that). Took me forever to realize, but after I swapped the clock hands back it worked perfectly.
