I joined the club on Saturday. Its in very good condition. I'm planning to have the armor powder coated black, and I will eventually pull the playfield and clearcoat it. I have had one issue, it played great when I first got it home, but now the mini playfield only works occasionally. I'm not sure what happened, but it is intermittent. I have checked the plugs under the playfield but that didn't do it.

I finally finished my TZ just before the Texas Pinball Festival. I took it to TPF and ended up selling it before the show even started, so I guess I'm leaving the club for now. I am going to miss her, but I do plan to build another one someday.
Edit: Yes the blue flipper coil is not the correct one. That was on the machine when I bought it, and I replaced it with the correct flipper coil after these pictures were taken.

Lots of hard work. I took everything out of the cabinet including the ground wire, then sanded it real good. I then taped off the floor of the cabinet and painted the inside walls all the way down too the floor. Then reinstalled everything. The artwork on the outside of the cabinet is original but my dad did clear coat it with 2PAC which turned out great!

Just curious why you used it!
Your correct the blue flipper coil is not the right one and is too strong and the game didn't play well with it. That coil was on the game when I got it. I did replace that one with the correct coil after this picture was taken and the game played so much better.

Very nice restoration, I'm glad mine inspired you to do the black armor. I think black armor is perfect for TZ. Now if I could only find me another one for as little as you did....(jealous)
