Quoted from CCK:I tried to order the white clock board from German-Pinball, but he said they sold quick. He ordered ten more white boards so a few more will be available soon.
I was lucky to get one of the original white boards. A friend of mine also wanted one so I contacted Ingo just now and organised one of these second 10. I think there is three or four left if anyone is interested.
Quoted from Miguel351:Does anybody know if Ingo, german-pinball , is still on holiday? I sent him a PM over a week ago and he hasn't responded yet.
Has everyone who ordered one of his white clock boards get theirs yet? Mine hasn't shown up in the mail yet and I'm beginning to worry that it might have "sprouted legs and walked off", if you know what I mean. It's been an issue in my area recently, with packages being taken from doorsteps and front porches. I figured it was small enough that it'd fit in the mailbox and that wouldn't be an issue, but maybe not.
I'm kind of hoping that he just hasn't sent it yet...
I got one of those first 10 or so. My mate ordered one of the second batch and both arrived in aus a fortnight ago.
Quoted from Ordinal:Sorry to interrupt, but just wanted to pop into this club for what is my second pin.
I got lucky, the listing was misspelled. I was able to claim it on the low end of the pinside appraisal.
As much as I love TAF, I've already "beaten" it. I have yet to finish this. For now, I blame the bloody ball lock draining right down the middle when the shot bricks.
Aside from the above, I'm loving it. I've already replaced my flipper rubbers, slingshot rubbers, and pinballs. I'll need to get to the clock, the left EOS-switch, and a burned connector at J121 on the power driver board. Nonetheless, I consider it worth doing.
There is a ball lock fix on here somewhere. I'll try find it.

Quoted from MiamiRedSkin:Is it normal in Powerball Mania mode for the upper flippers to stop working? I am running 9.4 Home edition and just want to ensure this is normal. Haven't owned a TZ in awhile and don't recall if that's how it is supposed to work.
I don't think there is any point in the game other than when the ball is on the mini playfield that any flippers stop working.
Edit. At the end of litz all stop.
I'm in a quandary. I've got a TZ and the cabinet is damage free. No scratches, marks, bumps, nothing. It is in perfect physical condition except it has extensive fade(so I guess it's not perfect but you know what I mean). I kind of want to keep it original but the fade is slowly getting to me. So decal or not to decal? That is the question.
Got this coming in a week or so. I’m fairly certain it’s a sample. Green lock insert, green art in front of left ramp. Looks to be a decal on the spiral insert. White door on backbox. Optos under the piano. Sticker on the right load gum ball plastic. Flip here art missing on mini playfield.
Board mounted to the left of the cpu. Two 7 opto boards under playfield. Anything else I should be looking for to confirm that it’s a sample? Build date 03/26/93

Quoted from Manny65:Mate that revolving door in your games room is picking up speed, what's this 4 new pins in how many weeks??? You might need to sell a few more
My really nice production one is leaving for this one. Sad but happy.
Quoted from KJS:Nearly there.....[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Looks sweet. What’s on the backboard mate? Is that a black mirror too?
Quoted from RobbyIRL5:Hi, just joined the club. Having an issue getting the playfield set to the proper angle. May be more of a general pinball question, but it’s on this machine so starting here. Back feet levelers are all the way out (as high as possible) and front leg levelers are screwed all the way in, low as possible. Playfield is at 5.1 degrees. There is no more adjustment so now I’m wondering if the playfield was positioned wrong? Any suggestions on how to check, or just find longer rear legs?
I have an IJ to compare it to as another wide body WPC, so that may help figure it out?
Thanks!
The back legs set up in the correct bolt holes?
Quoted from Coyote:Correct -
Note that the sign should be farther to the left, and the lamp mounted off to the right of the sign, as seen in the flyer -

(Taken from a bad scan of the flyer, but.. you can see it.)
Here’s a clearer picture. Globe was removed as I was tearing it down for a good clean and led.

[quoted image]
Here’s the load gumball up close. On mine it’s a sticker over the original spiral plastic.
FA6A5BE3-85F2-4B4C-9DD3-CAF9C386B349 (resized).jpegCan anyone tell me how the serial numbers work?
I’ve taken a few pictures of early production serials but not sure if they are in relation to when they rolled off the assembly line or not.
Quoted from Adipocere:Sigh.. ok, now I've got Switch 75 (Mini Playfield Top) AND 74 (Gumball Popper) activating on and off constantly. Starting to suspect a larger issue.
Check C1 on the 10 opto board. They can leak and do some weird things to the switch matrix.
Quoted from Adipocere:Checked it. Opto board looks fine as far as I can tell. No leaks, corrosion, etc. Doesn't appear to have had any work done to it previously (and I've owned the machine for 14 years).
They can look good if only just starting to leak. If you’re game hit the solder under the cap and see if you get a horrible smell coming from the 100uf cap.
Quoted from PinballAir:Yes. It is new.
Closes at end of stroke and tests good for continuity when closed.
Tests good in switch test also?
Quoted from PinballAir:I had time tonight to dig into left flipper issue.
I turned game on and it booted up.
I wanted to play the LH flipper until it got weak.
When i pressed start i got danger and tilt.
Then i had a clock is broken in reports.
This game played well the other night when i shut it down except for LH flipper got soft .
All 3 tilt switches are open.
Did you do those tests first before playing?
