I’m finally in the club! My machine needs a bit of work in terms of new decals but I’m also stumped as to what part number the grey cardboard under the upper Playfield is and where I can get a new one

Quoted from PtownPin:

Is it challenging to take off the upper play field?

No, really easy actually

I’m looking to install post Leds under all 6 posts on the upper Playfield but don’t sure if there are any GI lamp sockets to attach them to. Can anyone tell me if the light under the eyeball is GI as I think the score inserts flash
Thanks in advance

Quoted from lyonsden:

I don't think there is any GI under the power playfield. The closest Gi may be in the lamp that shines down on the entrance of it. I posted an image of the bottom side. The eye is a flasher, the others are controlled lamps.

I have seen some pics on this thread of post Leds in the upper Playfield. Anyone have any advice?
I also have a question as to which rubbers fit here
I bought a kit from Titan but none seem to match this spot

Quoted from jawjaw:

There should be 4 rubbers there - 2 on each post of 7/16" od. Same as on the post to the left of it. There should also be a plastic lane guide.
Is this what you mean by post leds on upper playfield? I lit all my star posts using Comet matrix stuff. It all connects using connectors so no soldering. I also used a dimmer since lights were very bright. It wasn't that hard to do but had it's challenges. I also lit the two signs using light strips and custom brackets.
[quoted image]

Yes, that Comet Matrix sounds perfect! Sounds much better than me trying to solder a bunch of lights up there, however still mentions hooking up to a GI socket but there isn’t one under the upper Playfield. What did you do?

#6620 5 years ago

Thanks for the replies people. Thinking if the comet wires are long enough I can go to the bottom of the Playfield. Can anyone confirm the length of them?

I’ve put back together my machine after shopping it and the left plastic on the mini Playfield is hard up against the side to the point where it probably will break if I lift the Playfield. Does the mini Playfield adjust to the right at all? I’ve added Cliffy protectors to the right side which is what has probably pushed the Playfield to the left
Any suggestions?

Here are some pics. The Playfield is on a slight angle when looking straight on in the third picture but it has no movement down near the pop bumpers

Yes I have mirror blades and have removed the protective film. Not really making any difference but also the Playfield is .4 degrees lower on the right side. There just isn’t enough width between the side of the cabinet and the nut sitting on the spring.

I was wondering what pitch people have on their machines? I have my leg levellers at the highest possible point at the back and lowest at the front and still the Playfield is at 6.0 degrees
Is that normal for this machine and if not is there such a thing as extra long levellers?

#6731 5 years ago

Aha! I’ll have to check now, didn’t even think about that option

EDIT: The back is screwed into the bottom 2 holes and it seems the front is screwed into the top 2 holes

#6735 5 years ago
Quoted from Neal_W:

All my pins are 6.5deg. Do you have the longer type - 3 inch leg levelers in the back?

That’s what I’m not sure about, are there different sizes? Thought leg levellers were pretty universal
The ones I have came with brand new legs

Quoted from drummermike:

The clear ramp will look great. I would use one but my smoke ramp is in perfect shape. I put a clear ramp in my TAF.

Smoke ramp? Mine has a clear ramp but I thought that was the original color. What’s smoke look like?
