So we took our Twilight Zone out of storage a few weeks ago, and there is a problem with the gi.
Some leds are dimmer then others, and some don't work at all. (See photos)
These leds were installed 10 years ago, could they already been broken?
I already reseated the gi connectors..
Felt like taking the whole thing apart today
It will get brand new leds, new silicone rubbers, new foam pads behind the targets, a spotlight or two, all plastics and metal parts will be cleaned, new balls, new coilsleeves and coilstops, cliffy protectors and the whole playfield will be cleaned.
Anyone got advice on making the game lighter in the back? Thanks

If I'm going to be upgrading the lighting in the back, it will need a backboard decal instead of the black wood.
Is it possible to install a decal even when the game is put back together? Or is it easier to do it while the game is disassembled?
Will try to find a nice decal here in Europe
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:In order to install the decal AND have it look good, you will need to remove the back board. You can do it with the playfield lifted and resting forward. I want to say there were 4 screws and 4 hex nuts in the back when I did it. Took maybe 20 minutes to figure out how to get it off, 2 to apply the decal, and 5 to put back together).
That's good to hear, I can build it up again while waiting for the decal to arrive. Have not made a choice for one yet, shipping is awful and we got nothing good available near me it seems
Made an order at PinballPimp yesterday for:
-Right ramp decal
-Lamp decal
-Diverter decal
Can't wait to install them, will change the looks of the game by a lot
Quoted from PinballAir:How are decals applied?
Are they peel and stick?
Pretty sure they are
Got the 3 decals from PinballPimp in the mail today, they're looking great and have good quality!
Still waiting on the backboard decal from a different shop... It is all coming together
Quoted from PinballAir:Please excuse me for being a knucklehead but i see the em2 and the entering the twilight zone stickers but what is the third one? Is it the one on the ramp?
They do look fabulous and i will be ordering as well.
Sorry for the late response, but yes you are correct!
The decals I've installed are:
-Lamp decal
-Diverter decal
-Right ramp decal
Don't seem to be able to take a good picture of it though
20210219_175706 (resized).jpgQuoted from yzfguy:I got the ramp and diverter decal too. They look cool, and I cut a piece of mylar to fit the ramp decal just to add some protection and glossy look.
Mylar might be a good idea indeed!
The decals change the looks of the machine more then I thought they would
Quoted from fast_in_muskoka:these are new / kinda kool ( maybe ? ) - not mine . . .
ebay.com link: itm
looks like all Bally / Williams playfield signs are being sold / offered
Those are cool! For on the wall
The shop does not have most of my games unfortunately..
